MARVIN MOUSE
AND THE PEOPLE HOUSE

"Pop? Why can't we live in a people house?" Asked little Marven Junior Mouse. "Son, when I was a lad, just like you, I wanted to live in a people house too! My house in the meadow was as cold as ice. But the house on the hill looked warm and nice!

Oh what wonderful vissions I had in my head: Dreaming mouse dreams in my little mouse bed!

I had made up my mind. I was gunna move in! My family told me that my chances were grim. They said there is danger in a people house. But did I listen? No! Not me, Marvin Mouse!

It was Christmas Eve when I reached the house. Everyone was sleeping except me, Marven Mouse!

I made my way in through a crack in the wall. And ever so quietly, I snuck down the hall.

When I turned the corner, what did I see? A room full of goodies and a big Christmas tree! I got on top of a table by climbing a chair, Where ever I looked there was food every where!

I was as happy as any mouse could be! Untill I saw that ol' cat under the tree! I had to move fast! I couldn't be slow. Climed down from the table, and away I did go!

I climbed up the tree trunk, and hid on a bough, I was clear out of sight and out of danger now! Then above my head I heard such a clatter! It scared me so much, it made my teeth chatter!

A loose Christmas orniment was falling down! It smashed on my head, then fell to the ground! I was covered with glass from my hear to my feet! And this big metal hook was stuck in my seat!

I made a broad leap, but landed on my belly. Right smack dab into a big bowl full of jelly! Through my jelly covered eyes, what did I see? That big scarry ol' cat runing past me!

His eyes how they glared, so mean and so scarry! I knew he could swollow me up like a cherry!
I was so scared! I let out a squeal! I had to think fast, or I'd be his next meal!

So strieght to a mouse hole I made a mad dash! And made my escape through a little mouse crack.

I Give UP! I just want to go home! Never, ever again from my home will I rome!

Then as fast as my little mouse feet could go, I ran home through the blinding thick snow.

I was so happy to see my mouse family! And they were very happy to see me! Son, learn from my story and take my advice. Houses are for people, not for us mice!
