Long after Omi-tachi had left the room where the three "vegetable" Bishounen were resting (for lack of a better term), P-kun, like always, couldn't help worrying about his charge. Ko-chan was sure to be behind their mysterious condition. It wasn't just a coincidence.

Mikagami-sama, Aoshi-sama, Sanosuke-sama...

He had heard those names before... spoken in that same order.

"Ko-chan, you can't do this!" P-kun gripped her arm tighter, as if the increase in force would stop her.

"I'm not *doing* anything." She pulled out of his grasp, and took a substantial step back. She began straightening the thoroughly ironed collar of the "borrowed" trenchcoat that just barely hung on her small shoulders.

"Like hell you aren't!" He glared at her bent head... she wasn't getting out of this that easily. "Celly put you up to this didn't she?"

"Celly doesn't know... Don't you get it?" she continued at his shocked expression (as if she couldn't think of anything by herself... ha... she'll show him!) "I have to do this... for everyone... for me... I haven't done anything here. My battle experience consists of throwing a trash lid at Celly and flying us straight into a tree! Celly has been doing everything..." her voice softened, "She takes care of me. I can't just let her do that without doing anything back. I don't trust these Bishounen. This thought reading thing that I have... It's the only trump card I've got and I'll be damned if I'm not going to use it!" She sighed, "I can't just sit back and do nothing."

"That never bothered you before." P-kun quickly pointed out.

"Well it does now." Remy snapped, slightly annoyed. "And it's not as if I'm doing anything dangerous. What's the worse that can happen? They find out and get angry... and even though I know I can't kill them if they start to get violent, I know they can't kill me either. So there's no harm done either way. Besides... I kinda like all the stuff I'm getting..." She giggled slightly, smiled down at her trenchcoat clad form, and nonchalantly fingered the hem of an oversized sleeve.

Her nonchalantness (if that’s even a word) only angered P-kun further. "Don't *you* get it?!" his voice rose audibly, and Remy winced at the force of his words, at the force of his mind. This wasn't like the petty fights that they had had in the past. This was... something else. "You're reading people you don't trust..."

Remy shrugged, feigning ignorance, but she knew where this was going. Before, it was only P-kun. Then Dion... then Celly... everyone she trusted... now... now, it seemed that she could read anyone, to a certain point of course, but that sure did broaden her scope of power. It was overwhelmingly wonderful and very very scary. A person could get rather uncomfortable when they didn't know what they were capable of. What exactly was she capable of? She wasn't certain...

"Exactly." P-kun picked up the thought easily. "You might think you know yourself, but do you really? Do you know precisely what you're doing, how far you can take this? How long before it's like us?"

"Like us?" she questioned.

"Before you can read them without touching them? Before you know where they are and what they're feeling without being told... without them being with you? How long before it goes further and you can't distinguish your mind from theirs, and no one else can either?"

"P-kun, do you hear yourself?" This whole discussion was pointless. He was saying things that hadn't happened, that she wouldn't let happen. "Yes, I do share my thoughts with you, but I still know what they are... I still know they're mine..."

"But-"

"End of discussion." She cut in. She was getting tired of discussing what might and might not happen. "Nothing will go wrong. I can handle this, P-kun. And if something does happen, I’m sure you’ll know; you always know." Then she smiled at him, a reassuring smile, a I-know-you-meant-well-but-all-this-fuss-isn't-necessary smile. "Ah, kitta. Mikagami-sama, Aoshi-sama, Sanosuke-sama..."

Before he could ask what the hell she was talking about, the door opened and in walked the three Bishounen. The same three she had previously mentioned... walking... walking in the same order. How-

"Lambda project is ready, Remy-chan. Celly's waiting." Mikagami-sama motioned to the open door and Remy immediately nodded her assent. She turned towards her guardian, ignoring the confused expression on his face. "Are you coming?"

He shook his head.

"Okie dokie" she said to him, "And don't worry so much. It's not good for you." Then, addressing the Bishounen, "Let’s go." With one arm latched on Sano-sama and one on Aoshi-sama, Remy left the room. Mikagami said nothing as he quietly followed the trio. P-kun stood and stared at the retreating forms of his Otaku and the three Bishounen.

"...if something does happen, I’m sure you’ll know" Her voice echoed in his mind.

Yes, he knew... it had already begun.

P-kun sighed and looked at the three Bishounen, staring into space. It all made sense if he could bring himself to believe what his mind had deduced. Ko-chan had mind bonded with the Bishounen. There was no other explanation.

*But it's not possible* he argued with himself. *She couldn’t have. Not in that short of a time span*

*What other explanation is there? That has to be it*

*There's another explanation. I can not accept this one. It's just not possible*

*It's not possible... but you know it's true. You feel its truth...*

*Usotsuki*

*Hai, omae desu*
