@ Loretta Garrah ( 1904-?) & husband : M. Francis Quinn ( 1890-1953)
o Married first Agness Ganyon in 1842 (unk where?) and she died in 1857. She was born in 1824. Hand-me-down info said her name was Gagnon? Also in letter from Howe Island they had Gangon??
* Married again to Mary Connors in 1858 and she died in 1894, 3 years after Israel. She was born in 1837.
* Listed in 1871 Census as:
Garrow, Israel 55, b. Que, RC.French farmer. (065
E 1 17). Frontenac, Pittsburg, Howe Island. Film # C-9999.
o Old data had sons and daughters as: Ira, Julia (Garrah) Budd, Ezra! This does not jive with Howe Island data, check back on old data!
o Julia was born on Howe Island, Canada. Born June 16, 1845. Birth was listed as 1842 from Cemetery information at Harrison, Michigan?
* Julia worked for Gramma Palmer in Canada and came to Cleveland. This was Gramma Palmer Cross? Where was this in Canada?
o Info. from 1878 Historical Atlas said Isreal owned 150 acres of land on South shore of Howe Island.
o He was reported to have unusual teeth, hand-me-down story was he had a full set of molars (teeth) including front teeth!
o Carlinda Budd may have likeness/photo to copy. Any photos or old documents in family in Canada to copy?
o His daughter Julia came to the Chagrin Falls, Ohio & married a Civil War vet names Willian BUDD.
* Any middle names listed for Israel or his children? Death dates for them? Madein names of wives or husbands of girls?
* Who was father and mother of Agnes?
What was the real spelling on her last name?
Where was she/ they from? Where were she and Isreal Sr. married?
Were they both from Quebec?
Did she come from France?
Was Israel Sr. from Montreal and or France?
Who were his parents? What was his middle name?
To trace that side of family in France, need where in France?
Possibly immigration / boat 2records of Canada arrival?
* Note parish records for St. Polycarpe are still kept in church in
Gananoque!
Other records show an Israel Jr. being born Oct. 14,1838 per parish
of St. Polycarp! In county of Soulange.
His service records ( story is he fought in US Civil War?)
indicate parents were Margaret Garand and Joseph Legros Garand? This could
be Isreal Garrah Jr. ?
Possibly god parents names?
Could this be connected to second naming of a later born Israel Jr.?
* LDS fisches for Quebec had NG info for Garant, Garand, Garrow, Gareau, Garreau, Garrett. Try also Ont. agn.

Mr Bolt Unless otherwise mentionned all the places are
in Quebec.
Please note that the easiest date to find, and the most important,
is the mariage which gives information on the parents and also because
of the witness a few clues on the family relations which permit you to
verify the accuracy of the next information. The second information
a little harder to find is the birthday which depends on finding the
marriage time, the season of birth (in winter travelling was restricted
and sometimes the records was recorded at a other time or place)
and also if the records survived. Death usually means looking through manny
years of record. Well that is it for now. Have a nice day
Sincerly yours Gerard Giroux

Looks good, had a few questions: few related to possible future
follow-on
work, and rest clarification of data shown. I assume all locations
are Canada unless stated as France? Please see/verify my inserts as
shown.
Thanks-Dick
