Camaro / Firebird LT-1 Stock Harness Connections

This guide lists the connections required to the stock Camaro/Firebird PCM/engine harness to allow engine operation. The guide assumes that all sensors/relays/solenoids etc that were formerly connected to the harness are still properly connected and in good working order. With regards to the rest or leftover connectors and wires, the following is a good rule of thumb regarding Chevy's EFI harness's wiring color code...
...red wires...these should be connected directly to a fusible link protected source straight from the battery "+" terminal.
...orange wires...these should be connected to a "fused" constant battery "12v+" power.
...pink wires...these should be connected to a switched 12v power source that is hot only when the ign key is in the "start" AND "run" positions.
...black wires...these wires should be connected to chassis ground.
...black w/ white stripe wires...these wires should be connected to engine ground.
...purple wire...this wire color is always used for the wire that goes to chevy starter's "start" terminal, and is energized to turn the starter over only when the ign key is in the "start" position.

It should be noted that a big part of the magic performed by the wiring harness modification companies is to sanitize the appearance by removing un-needed wires, relays, and connectors. The next most important thing they do is to simplify harness vehicle connections by connecting all the wires of a common color to a single longer/larger main wire of the same color within the harness. By doing this, only a few main wire connections need to be made to the vehicle, instead of a seperate connection for each of the individual smaller red/orange/pink/black wires.

LT-1 Harness Connector C-210...
Formerly located passenger side footwell in Camaro
Black - 4 terminals - 1 row of 4
A....purple....connect to RX-7 connector X-08 black w/ white stripe (other end of wire attaches to starter solenoid ?start? terminal)
.......X-08 is a rectangular 6 terminal connector (2 rows of 3) located just forward of the RX-7?sfirewall in the extreme driver?s side.
B....black/white....connect to RX-7?s chassis ground (this comes from the ground side of fuel pump relay coil)
C....orange....connect to RX-7?s X-16 connector blue w/ red stripe wire. Change 2nd row center fuse (in fuse box in passenger
.......compartment) from 7.5 to 10amp. X-16 is rectangular 13 terminal connector (1 row of 7, 1 row of 6 w/ center term missing),
.......located passenger kick panel area, formerly connected to the emission (injection) harness, which was removed.

LT-1 Harness Connector C-220...
Formerly located passenger side footwell area in Camaro
Natural - 10 terminals - 2 rows of 5
A....red....formerly connected to dash/voltmeter in Camaro (alternator feed to dash), not required with RX-7.
B....tan....connect to RX-7?s connector X-04 yellow w/ red stripe wire (other end of this LT-1 harness wire attaches to oil pressure
.......sender in block). X-04 is a rectangular 6 terminal connector (2 rows of 3) located just forward of the firewall on the extreme
.......driver?s side of the engine compartment.
C....brown...not required- formerly connected to ?low oil? lite in the Camaro dash (LT-1 sensor opens w/ low oil level). Can be
.......connecter to RX-7 connector X-05 red w/ white stripe wire thru a relay to change the RX-7 ?LOW OIL? warning lite to a
.......?LOW OIL PRESSURE? warning lite. The relay is required to change the LT-1?s normally closed w/ adaquate oil sensor to a
.......normally open switch that grounds (closes) w/ low oil level to turn on the RX-7?s ?LOW OIL? lite.
H....dark blue....AUTO- connect to ground side of ?performance? indicator LED. ?+? side of LED should be connected to 12v ign.
........white.........MAN- connect to ground side of ?skip shift? indicator lamp. ?+? side of lamp should be connected to 12v ign.
J....dark green/white....connect to RX-7?s circuit opening relay via the Ba-01 connector?s center terminal after the black w/ white
.......stripe wire that formerly occupied this spot is removed from the connector and taped up (black w/ white stripe wire no longer
.......required in this connector). The LT-1 PCM uses this dark green/white wire to turn the fuel pump on.
.......Ba-01 is a rectangular 6 terminal connector (2 rows of 3) that plugs into the circuit opening relay.
.......The circuit opening relay and it?s Ba-01 connector is located above the passenger side of the steering column under the dash.
K....dark green....connect to RX-7 connector X-15 (X-16 in Turbo II) yellow w/ black stripe wire (temp gauge in dash). The other
.......end of this wire in the LT-1 harness is connected to the Camaro temp gauge sender. Replace w/ the RX-7 temp sending unit.
.......X-15 is a rectangular 15 terminal connector (2 rows, 1 row of 8, 1 row of 7 w/ a center term missing).
.......X-16 is a rectangular 13 terminal connector (2 rows, 1 row of 7, 1 row of 6 w/ center term missing).
.......Both X-15 (NA cars) and X-16 (Turbo cars) are located in the RX-7?s passenger kick panel area, and were formerly connected
.......to the emission (injection) harness, which was removed.

LT-1 Harness Connector C-230...
Formerly located passenger side footwell area in Camaro
Blue - 10 terminals - 2 rows of 5
A....lt blue....AUTO ONLY- connect to + side ?PERFORMANCE? switch. Connect ?-? side of switch to ground.
B....brown/white....connect to ground side of a lite labled ?service engine soon? (required to be smog legal). Other side of
.......?SES? lite should be connected to 12v ?+?.
C....white/black....connect to diagnostic plug (diagnostic request signal).
D....white....connect to RX-7 connector Ba-07 yellow w/ blue stripe wire (tach signal from LT-1 PCM to RX-7 tach).
.......Ba-07 is a 4 terminal connector (2 rows of 2) that formerly connected to the rotary engine?s trailing ignitor, which was
.......located just in back of the RX-7?s driver?s side strut tower.
F....dark green....AC ONLY- tap into RX-7 connector Bc-06 red w/ yellow stripe wire (AC request signal, tells PCM to increase
.......idle speed). Bc-06 is a 6 terminal connector (2 rows of 3) located in front of the RX-7?s radiator under a plastic cover.
G....pink....connect to RX-7 connector X-16 black w/ yellow stripe wire (the other end of the pink LT-1 wire is connected to the
.......LT-1 harness?s ignition coil ?+?).
.......X-16 is a rectangular 13 terminal connector (2 rows, 1 row of 7, 1 row of 6 w/ center term missing), and is located in the
.......RX-7?s passenger kick panel area, and were formerly connected to the emission (injection) harness, which was removed.
