Frequently asked questions.

1. Why should I go to your camp instead of one of the Huge Summer Camps?
There are a number of reasons, the first is probably cost. At those bigger camps you work out for 5 days and pay between $550-$650, verses only $125 for 3 days of workouts. At the QCG Camp you will be coached by experienced proven junior coaches. Although it is great to have autograph sessions with gymnasts, the fact is you come to camp to learn. Who better to teach you than coaches that are producing some of the top gymnasts in the country?

2. Yeah but don't the Big Camps have better facilities?
Queen City has all the equipment necessary for a successful camp. Including 2 full spring floors, 8 trampolines, 3 high bars, 1 trench bar, 3 pommel horses, 3 sets of rings, 3 sets of parallel bars, a 50' in ground Tumble Trak, foam and resi pits for each piece of equipment, and a power tumbling strip. Check out the pictures of our facilities and compare for yourself.

3. But is there anything fun to do at your camp too?
Queen City is part of the Kid's First Sports Complex. It also contains a basketball court, pool and indoor soccer. Friday night at the camp there will be a pizza party and movies for the gymnasts, and Saturday afternoon we will be going to the Beach Waterpark. The Beach is the biggest waterpark in the Cincinnati area. Entrance into the waterpark is included in the cost of your camp!

4.Can my coaches attend?
Yes, we encourage all your coaches to attend. Part of the purpose of this camp is to improve gymnastics in our region. This camp is great because not only will you, but also your coach, get to know coaches in the region. Although you may not learn everything at this camp, its great to make contacts so you have someone to ask if you ever need help.

5. Where will I sleep?
You have two choices, you and your team can rent a hotel room at the host hotel at your cost or you can sleep in the gym.

6. What about food?
Kid's First has a snack bar complete with sandwiches, pizza, bagels, macaroni & cheese, etc. There are also a number of restaurants nearby.

7. Should I go to this camp or some other camp hosted by a gym?
For the cost of one week at one of those Big Camps you can attend a few camps hosted by gyms in our region. However, if you only choose to attend one, we hope you choose the QCG Camp. Queen City is part of a 84,000 square foot facility and has one of the top gymnastics training facilities in the country.

8.Will there be other gymnasts at my level?
This camp is open to any gymnast that competes Class 4 or above or high school gymnastics. We will have beginner class 4's all the way up through National Team Members. Some of the best gymnasts in our region attended last years camp.

9. Ok, I'm hooked, now how do I register?
Your gym has probably received information in the mail, ask your coach. If not, you can call 513-489-7575 and ask for Dara Grant. You can also email Keith Pettit or Dara Grant for more information.
