As everyone knows, The Rent Boys took a break from touring and recording
this summer to pursue private interests.

She means it, too! This summer, Kate made yet another pilgrimage to England to continue her study with the Maharishi Robert. When asked what she learned in her weeks of study with the Maharishi, Kate simply and sagely replied "Don't look at me! Don't everlook at me!" Kate also took some time off to pursue a passion that few Rent Boys fans know about: her love of art.Indeed, not many people know that Kate is actually an accomplished artist. This summer, Kate mounted the first-ever exhibition of her work at a gallery in New York. "Kate Bolin: The Magic and the Madness" proved to be a smashing success, wowing critics and the public alike. One canvas in particular, shown here below, was the subject of a great deal of international acclaim. "Halleus Hostilius", thought by some in the art world to be semi-autobiographical. After only two days of exhibition, "Halleus Hostilius" was purchased for $150,000 by Kate's bandmate Halle, who, after about twelve seconds, tore it apart with her teeth. grrrrr! Kate spent what remained of the summer writing songs for the band. Her new efforts include "Satan From Ohio", "The Leader of my Band is a Brutal, Heartless Sadist" and "Oh Dear Lord Jesus, Why Won't You Let Me Die?". None of the these songs are included on the new album. Kate is pleased to be back at work with her band, as she told a recemt interviewer: "This album and tour should be the best yet for the Rent Boys. I'm really excited about getting out again and seeing the fans. Oh please, won't someone kill me?"

Halle spent the last few months hard at work on her cinematic debut, the epic drama "Emma Caesar".The plot of the film, which will be released next year, is being kept tightly underwraps. When reached for comment about the film, the newly-minted auteur would say only that "Emma Caesar" was about "The deep, dark, all-consuming evil that lurks inside all of us. That, and the tiny microbes that control 85% of the world's wealth."

The exact whereabouts of Katie are not known as of the time of this writing. She was discovered by fishermen off the coast of Mexico in mid-August, muttering "Everybody in leather...everybody in leather..." and shivering. Despite Halle's repreated attemps to "slap the truth out of [her]", Katie refuses to talk about her experiences. On a completely unrelated note, several Gap franchises worldwide were reportly firebombed by a six-foot redhead between the months of May and August.

This summer, Jen Stoy was featured on the Fox television special "When Mormons Go Bad". While the special did recieve high ratings, Jen's next venture, the "Triple-X Mormon Ladies" website, was a resounding failure.
