Harry Jacobson
Hello,
My name is Harry Jacobson. I am a senior faculty member of the National Guitar Workshop. I have relocated from the New York City area to the Yardley / Oxford Valley area of Pennsylvania, just 40 Minutes from Philadelphia, 10 minutes from Trenton, 75 minutes from NYC.
For the past 16 years I have taught the advanced level
classes at the National Guitar Workshop covering the rock, blues, jazz , funk, fusion
styles, as well as slide and MIDI
guitar. I have had great success helping my private students break out of
playing repetitive patterns, licks, and scales by introducing them to a more
melodic and creative improvisational approach utilizing chromatisism
,modal and phrasing concepts.
I incorporate the use of a 64 track MIDI studio to orchestrate musical examples, which can be used to greatly enhance your practicing time at home. All lessons (voice and instrument are recorded on your cassette tape to be used as a reference (120 min. tapes enable 1 lesson per side)
Whether you are looking to learn the basics or if you are a seasoned professional interested in improving your skills I can design a cohesive individualized program to help you reach your goals.
Fee: $40 per hour
Location: My studio in a 17th century farm house on 3 acres located in Yardley PA.
Items to bring: Guitar, 120 min cassette, notebook with pocket folder.
Please feel free to email me to get more details and discuss the possibilities.
