In the name of God, Amen. I, Abraham Garrison of Decatur County, State of Indiana, being weak in body, but of sound mind and memory, thanks be to the almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills made by me.
First, It is my will and desire that this will be received as such by all persons concerned.
Second. It is my wish and will that my funeral expences be paid and that my grave should be decently pailed in, and that suitable tombstones be placed at the head and foot of same.
Thirdly. My daughter Tamzen Conner who married Jeptha Conner has had of my estate two hundred and fifty dollars, The said two hundred and fifty dollars I give and bequeath to my daughter Tamzen Conner as her share of my estate. And it is not my wish that she should have any more of my estate. My daughter Elizabeth Garrison who married Asa Belt lived with me five years after she was of age. I consider the estate indebted to her one hundred and twenty five dollars. I consider her indebted to my estate fifty dollars for clothing and other auxilary expences. She has received of my estate thirty dollars, leaving a balance of forty five dollars to be taken out of my estate.
Fifthly. My son David Garrison has had two hundred dollars. I give and bequeath to my son David Garrison the said two hundred dollars that he has received.
Sixthly. My son Abraham Ellison Garrison has received of my estate two hundred and fifteen dollars. I give and bequeath to my son Abraham Ellison Garrison the said two hundred and fifteen dollars that he has received.
Seventhly. My son Enoch Garrison has had two hundred and forty one dollars. The said two hundred and forty one dollars I give and bequeath to my son Enoc Garrison. It is my will that the said Enoch receive fifty dollars more before the estate is divided.
Eightly. My son Joseph McCollum has received of my estate two hundred and fifty nine dollars and sixty-two cents. I have the said Joseph mCcOLLUN Garrison notes to the amount of ninety dollars and thirty three cents, all of the said accounts and notes I give and bequeath to my son Joseph McCollum Garrison as his share in my estate. My daughter Lydia Garrison who married Nicholas Groenendyke has had two hundred and fifty dollars The said two hundred and fifty dollars I bequeath unto the said Lydia Groenendyke. I own eighty acres of land known and described by the register of land office of Brookville as being and lying in the County of Decatur, State of Indiana. The west half of the south east quarter of Section twenty one in township ten of range nine except a part I sold to Abraham Messinger. All of said tract of land it is my will and desire should be divided as follows. First, I give and bequeath to my daughter, Lydia Garrison who married a Nicholas Groenendyke thirty acres of said land to be taken off by running a line east and west giving the said Lydia thirty acres of the south end of said tract of land. And that the said Lydia Groenendyke get a deed for said thirty acres at the expiration of my natural life. Made by any person or persons authorized. Secondly.I give and bequeath all the remainder of said tract of land be the same more or less to be divided equally between four of my child

and David, Enoch and Abraham E Garrison and that they get a deed at the expiration of my wife Polly Garrison's natural life, made by any person or persons properly authorized. I own forty acres of land lying and being in decatur County, State of Indiana, known and described as follows.
The north east quarter of the north east quarter of section number twenty eight in township number ten. North of range number nine east. All of it is my will and desire should be divided as follows, First. it is my will that Lydia Groenendyke get fifteen acres of said tract of land to be laid off in a regular aquare in the North weast corner of said land, and that the said Lydia get a deed made by any person or persons properly authorized at the expiration of my natural life.
Second. I give and bequeath all the remainder of said tract of land to be equally divided between Elizabeth Belt, David, Enoch and Abraham E Garrison. And that they get a deed for said tract of land at the expiration of my wife Polly Garrison's natural life, made by any person or persons properly authorized. I own a house and lot in the town of Greensburgh in Decatur County State of Indiana known and described as follows; On the plat of said town as of record by lot number twenty five, in Block number four, all of said house and lot I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Belt, David, Enouch and Abraham E Garrison, to be equally divided and that they get a deed for said house and lot at the expiration of my wife Polly Garrison's natural life made by any person properly authorized. All the rents, issues, and profits of my real estate it is my wish that it be put to the support of my wife Polly Garrison during her natural life. It is my wish and desire that my wife Polly Garrison shall have one third of all my personal property of whatsoever nature it may be. The remaining two thirds of my remaining personal estate of whatsoever nature it may be, it is my will should be sold and the money appropriated in the following manner.

First. Elizabeth Belt receive the above stated forty five dollars of the sale money. Secondly. Enoch Garrison receive fifty dollars of the sale money as above stated. Thirdly. The remaining balance not otherwise appropriated of all my personal property according to this will it is my will and desire shall be given to my son Isaac Garrison. It is my will that when Lydia Groenendyke gets her deed that she gets all the rails on the south side of the now existing lane. I consider that the profits, rents nd issues of my real estate is the remainder that shall be left after the repairs be kept up. no part of my real estate shall be rented that my wife wishes to reserve for her own use and in no case no part of my real estate shall not be rented for a longer term of time than my wife thinks proper. Should it so happen that there should be more of the rents and issues of my real estate, than is necessary for my wife's support, she may put it to any use she may think proper. I do hereby appoint Abraham Ellison Garrison my executor so long as he continue a citizen of Decatur or any of the adjoining counties of Indiana.
Signed this fifteenth of February in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and thirty seven, in presence of :
N.B. It is my will that my executor take of the profits of my real estate and finish the barn that is now on hand and that Elizabeth Belt, David, Enoch and Abraham Ellison Garrison's parts of my estate be accountable to my wife Polly Garrison for said money that is appropriated for the finishing the above mentioned barn.
