After all participants in the Mens World

Commission of Organizing and Competition (COC) fixed the performance rows which will be
taken as the basis for the draw of the preliminary round games of the title matches. They
are as follows:

4 | Norway | Cuba | Saudi Arabia / Korea* |
Algeria |

Within the performance rows the teams will be
allocated to groups A, B, C or D. Performance rows 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 will be drawn first.

be allocated to the remaining groups.
The draw will be carried out by COC President Peter
Mühlematter (SUI) in Cairo on 27 January 1999. All further details concerning the
draw will be announced soon by the organizer, the Egyptian Handball Federation.
