27 JAN 99: 50th ANNIVERSARY: World Selection Team in Yugoslavia and Slovenia

The men's world selection team, which will be nominated by the International Handball Federation, will play against Yugoslavia and Slovenia in December. The applications for the jubilee matches have been submitted by the two federations on the occasion of their 50th anniversaries. During the meeting held in Vienna the IHF Council decided to approve the applications.
The selection of the players and nomination of the trainers will be made by the Commission of Coaching and Methods, chaired by President Dr. Hassan Mustafa (Egypt). The definite match dates remain to be coordinated with the two member federations hosting the events.
