Team's History
The Women's Handball Team of the Gymnastic Athletic Club "ANAGENNISI ARTA" was established in 1987.
1988: Ascent to national category B'.
1989: Participation in national category B'. Finishes in the 2nd place.
1990: Champion of the national category B'. Ascent to national category A'.
1991: Participation in national category A' and lowering to category B'.
1992: Wins the championship of category B' and ascent to category A1.Finalist on the greek cup. Participation in the European Federation Cup, plays with Volan Sofia (BUL) and is excluded.
1993: Participation in the championship of category A1, takes 3rd place.
1994: Participation in category A1. Finishes in 2nd place. Participates in European Federation Cup, drawed with Varpa Riga (LAT) which quitted. In the next round of 16 was drawed with GOG Gudme (DEN). Played both games in Denmark and was excluded.
1995: Won the greek championship (1st time). Played in the European Champions Cup for the 32 with Starjnan (Iceland). Lost the game in Iceland 29-21 and won the game in Greece 30-19. In the 16 it was drawed with Podravka Koprivnica (Croatia). Played both games in Croatia. First game 43-17 and second 29-21.
1996: Won the greek championship (2nd time). Finalist on the greek cup. Played in the European Champions Cup. In quallification round won Hapoel in Israel 21-19 and in Arta 35-26. Participated for first time in Group (4th)! The games:

1997: Won the greek championship (3rd time) against Athinaikos. Finalist on the greek cup. Played in the European Champions Cup. In quallification round excluded from Jomsa Rimini (ITA). In Italy 22-18, in Greece 25-21.
1998: Won the greek championship (4th time) against Filippos Veria and the greek cup (1st time) against Nea Ionia. Played in the European Champions Cup. In quallification round won Agrotel Lokomotiv (BUL) two times (32-24 & 29-27). Participated for second time in Group!
