People

The Heartstart Thurrock team consists of volunteer First Aid at Work (a Health and Safety Executive qualification) instructors and helpers, drawn from both St. John Ambulance, Grays Division, and local industry. Additionally we are always eager for more instructors and helpers to assist in the work.

Our team consists of :-

As First Aid instructors, many of the team are already experienced in teaching ELS skills as part of First Aid courses. The attraction of having our own Heartstart scheme is the Heartstart UK scheme's ELS training package which is standardised, certificated, highly portable, concise, and quick to teach.

Further, from the outset Heartstart UK has given us valuable advice and support in establishing and developing our scheme. Heartstart UK helped us get started with a grant to purchase initial training equipment, teaching materials and stationery.
