For what it's worth
This is a picture of most of my extended, rather dysfunctional family (so what family isn't dysfunctional?)  It was taken on the occasion of my mother's eightieth birthday, which provided an opportunity for a rare family gathering.  Happily, some of the more revolting members of the family are now dead (YAY!) and the new ones are pretty nice and likely to improve the quality of our gene pool. I am the youngest of four, and am seen here with my mom of course, my sister Thomasina, my brothers Roger and Tom, my Aunt Eileen, plus various nephews, nieces, cousins, and in-laws.

Sadly, five years after these pictures were taken, my mother passed away. She was in a rather robust state of health until near the end, when she decided that 85 good years was plenty, refused life saving measures, and just went away.

My mother did not want her passing noted with a depressing event like a funeral. So instead she specified in her will that a sum of money be set side for a banquet; so after a memorial service, everyone had a good time, on her.

And now for a real "blast from the past." Here is my family as it appeared almost half a century ago:

Click here for a list of some of my favorite things.  You are not going to find some things, like "my favorite sport", because I hate sports, or "my favorite rock musician", because I hate rock'n'roll even more.  These are just some of the things that have turned me on over the years, collected in no particular order and possessing no particular logic.

Drop me a note, I'd love to hear from you!
