IN A STATION OF THE METRO

The apparition of these faces in the crowd;
Petals on a wet, black bough.

These photographs were taken in April of 2ooo of an abandoned railroad station in the Corktown section of Detroit, Michigan. My friend and I were driving through Detroit on our way to Toledo, Ohio and I remembered seeing this train station in February of 1991 when I was leaving to go to New York City. There's buildings like this all over Detroit.
