"The One with All the Resolutions"
FRIENDS HELP FRIENDS RING IN THE NEW YEAR
With all good intentions at the top of the New Year, everybody declares their personal resolution, but Ross' (David Schwimmer) decision to try a new thing everyday backfires on his first post-Emily (Helen Baxendale, not seen) date. Joey enthusiastically resolves to learn to play the guitar, but his chosen mentor, Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow), dampens his spirits with her tough-love approach to teaching. Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) vows to stop her incessant gossiping, but when she stumbles upon something incredibly juicy, she can hardly contain herself. Meanwhile, Chandler (Matthew Perry) is a volcano of pent-up mockery after resolving to stop making fun of his friends. Courteney Cox also stars. Charles Thomas Allen and John Christopher Allen guest-star as Ross' son, Ben. Joe Regalbuto, who playedinsecure investigative reporter Frank Fontana on "Murphy Brown" for 10 years, directs.
