WHEN I WAS LITTLE

When I was little
I used to be afraid of being alone in the dark
I'd pull the blankets up over my head
And pray that the sky would soon be light
And pray that it soon would be light.

But then my mother showed me
there really was nothing to fear
That nothing came around when the light went out
And suddenly my fears...disappeared

When I was little
I used to be afraid to take a bath in the tubby
I thought that the water would sweep me down the drain
with a "RUSH" and a "ROAR" and a "GURGLE" and a "GLUB"
and a "GURGLE" and a "GLUB, GLUB, GLUBBY"

But then my daddy showed me the teeny drain
was much, much smaller than me
I could never fit down that teeny little drain
And now the tub's my favorite place to be

And we are so much older now
and as we said before:
The night can be beautiful,
The tubby's lots of fun
And we don't have to be afraid anymor
