About Us

How Do You Join?
It's easy! Just fill out the membership application and turn it in along with your first year's dues to any Jaycee Member.

How Much Does It Cost To Join?
Currently, the member dues are $40.00. Your dues help run the local, state, national, and international organizations. We have an incentive plan for $$$'s off your dues once you become a member.

How Much TIme Does It Take To Be A Jaycee?
This is a volunteer orgnaization and you can decide how much time you want to give to the chapter. You will be asked to do everything; but if it doesn't fit your schedule, we won't be mad! We'll just see you at the next project.

When & Where Do We Meet?
Mark the 1st Monday of the month for our meetings at the SENCA building which is on the south side of the square. Meetings start at 7:00 p.m. and take less than an hour. Meetings are important to make plans for our organization, but attendance is not required.

Reasons To Join:

Self Improvement: Expand or develop your leadership, decision-making and public speaking skills.

Community Volunteering: You can contribute to identifying the community needs. Then, plan and exercise projects to help others.
Fellowship: Call it networking camaradereie or just plain having fun with new friends. You'll associate with progressive young people with similar interests and objectives on the local to international levels.

Individual Development (ID): ID is for the betterment of the member. This includes courses on personal dynamics, leadership, communication, stress relief and time management. Other areas of ID programming are Family Life projects from Kids' Competitions to Potluck Suppers; Personal skill programs, from personal financial planning to "How To" programs.

Community Development: Community development areas cover youth projects and competitions, community fund-raising, community improvement, i.e. Adopt-A-Highway; and Human Services projects such as the Ident-A-Kid program.

Management Development: This chapter is a business. To do this, we run chapter fund-raisers from sports competitions to fireworks sales, to Tractor Pulls and the cutest baby contest. These projects help us fund all the areas of the chapter.

Membership and Growth: Membership and Growth is the fun part of the Jaycees. Without new and current members paying dues, the chapter would not exist. Projects include member socials, new member recruitment projects, visiting other chapters, and new member training programs.
