FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT
& CALL FOR PAPERS

The Second French-Speaking Summer University
of Ericksonian Hypnosis and Brief Therapy

will take place in the Faculty of Medicine, Lille, France,
from July 1st to 3rd, 1998.

It will focus on

PSYCHOSOMATICS & PSYCHOSOMATIC DISEASES :
NEW THERAPIES, NEW APPROACHES.

During these three days, papers will be presented roundtables and workshops will be organized on various topics.

Paper submissions, roundtables and workshops proposals are welcome.

Presentations will last 30 minutes each.
Workshops and roundtables will last 90 minutes.

In both cases, a 250-word abstract, written in French, must be submitted before February 28 th, 1998.
Headline can be send now by e-mail.

Submissions should deal with the following topics :

Ericksonian hypnosis, brief therapy, family therapy, and new approaches in : psychotherapy, gynecology, and post abortion syndrome, sexology, sexual abuse, post traumatic stress disorder, acute stress disorder, digestive diseases, dermatology, andrology, chronic pain, professionnal burn-out, and all others psychosomatics disorders.

An average french level is enough to participate. Help will be provided if needed.

Foreign accents are kindly welcome : Our English accent is worst than your French accent !

Abstracts from France, Belgium, Quebec, Israel, Morocco have already been received, and we hope to receive yours soon.

Conference fee : 1.500 French Francs (250 US $).

The First French-Speaking Summer University took place in 1996 in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada.

It was organized by the Institut Quebecois d'Hypnose et de Therapie Ericksonienne.
(Chairman : Michel Kerouac, M.A.).

LILLE is a large town of 1 million people, very pleasant to visit, with both old Flemish buildings and modern buildings.

* By train, Lille is:

- one hour from the Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (TGV train inside airport),
- two hours away from London ( TGV train under the Channel)
- 30 minutes away from Brussels (TGV).

* By plane, Lille is only 90 minutes away from the French Riviera !

* By car, 3 hours from Amsterdam (Holland), or Cologn (Germany).

Lille hoped to receive Olympic Games, but it failed .

So we decided to organize " The Hypnotic Games"
