Lacey Chabert's Bio!

Lacey Chabert was born a Libra on September 30, 1982 in the small town of Purvis,Mississippi. Her family has moved since to Ventura County,California. She is the daughter of Tony and Julie Chabert and has two sisters, Wendy and Crissy, a brother T.J. and a 10-inch-high miniature Doberman pinscher named Abu (after the monkey in Disney's animated feature "Aladdin"). When Lacey was born her father was hoping for a boy when out came a girl they had no name for her so when they brought her home she was wearing a lacy dress. The grandma said wow that's a lacy dress she has on. When her mother heard this she decided to call her Lacey. She has brown eyes and brown hair and is a singer, dancer, pianist and a violin player, Lacey enjoys ice skating, roller skating, golfing and spending time with her family and friends Lacey used to always sing around the house and took part in her school plays and church plays. Her mother suggested that if she were going to sing, she might as well do it right, and so she started taking voice lessons at the age of five. At nine years old she was discovered by an agent when her parents took the family to New York for a two-week summer vacation.
Lacey Chabert portrays 14-year-old violin prodigy, Claudia Salinger, who, along with her brothers and sister, takes on adult responsibilities in an attempt to keep her family together in "Party of Five," the critically acclaimed one-hour drama from Columbia Pictures Television for the Fox Broadcasting Company. Now with the part of Claudia on Party of Five, Lacey is very busy but still manages to get tutored three hours a day. Lacey and Love Hewitt took a break from filming Party of Five (In 1995) to participate in a promotional gig for the Cartoon Network. While there, they attended the world's first "dive-in" movie theater at a swimming party sponsored by the Cartoon Network. 2 years ago, in September, the cast and crew of Party of Five threw a surprise birthday party for Lacey on the set of Salingers Restaurant. Scott, Neve, Paula, and Mitchell Anderson were all there for her 13th birthday bash. Love Hewitt even sang a special birthday song for her. She is now 15 years old and will be turning 16 this September and starting the forth season of Party of five the season premiere will be Wednesday September 17,1997.
Boasting an active voice-over career, Chabert will give life to characters in many upcoming animated features including starring roles as Jill in Babes in Toyland opposite Christopher Plummer and Jim Belushi; Anastasia with Meg Ryan and Angela Lansbury; and Disney's highly anticipated adventure Lion King II opposite an illustrious cast of characters. She will also lend her voice to multiple home video projects including Steven Speilberg's "An American Tale III" for Universal, Disney's "Little Redux Riding Hood" joining Mia Farrow and Michael Richards, and Mikail Barishnikov's "Stories From My Childhood" starring alongside a stellar celebrity cast. Currently Chabert stars as Eliza Thornberry in Nickelodeon's Saturday morning series, "The Wild Thornberries" which will debut this fall. Lacey played the role of "Penny" in the movie "Lost In Space".
Lacey's first commercial was for Triaminic cough syrup, in which she just had to act sick. This led to other jobs, including two years of performing the role of young Cosette on stage before an audience of 1600+ in the Broadway musical, "Les Miserables." She was also the understudy for the boy character Gavroche, and on her 10th birthday, when the boy who normally plays the part fell sick, Lacey went on stage to play the part. She was a junior vocalist finalist on "Star Search '91." On television, she played the part of Bianca (Susan Lucci's daughter) in the soap series "All My Children". She has appeared in a few TV movies such as A Little Piece of Heaven, Gypsy and the ABC Afterschool Special, Educating Mom. She nows stars in the Fox family drama, Party of Five (which won the Golden Globe for Best Dramatic Series in 1995 and was nominated for the same award in 1996). I wish the very best to Lacey in her future and I hope that she will carry on with her ambitions and goals.
