Ultimate Wheel of Death, April 98

What's an ultimate wheel (UW) people ask, well here's some pictures that will hopefully help you. The ultimate wheel of death as IOU call it is basically just a wheel with pedals. Pictures here illustrate myself and Vern having a go on my newly constructed 26" UW.


What you'll Need:
  • 1) One Ultimate Wheel
  • 2) Some Silicon Spray
  • 3) Some soccer chin-pads
  • 4) A bit of flat space
  • 5) A sense of adventure

Now what ? I suggest you read "The Ultimate Wheel" A beginner's view since although I've an made ultimate wheel - these pics were taken before the collapse of my juggling club and I have not practiced since ! I didn't say I could ride it now did I ?

Make your own UW: here's how I did it

Although the date on this is April 98, its now Nov 98. More than 6 months down the line its sad to say I can't ride it. No practice you see. I have however seen it done at the 1998 British Juggling Convention, a chap called Jamy (I think) of around the Porstmouth (UK) area (again not entirely sure), rode my UW a good 20M in a big circle weaving in and out of jugglers and then did a few bunny hops and mounts. So it IS possible ! Just needs time and effort - one day I will conquer it ! Then I'll put some nice pics of me riding it out and about, watch this space !
