Stand tall and shake the heavens!

A spaceship, thousands of years ago. . .carrying a cargo that could destroy the entire universe. . .and suddenly, it decides to try. Every attempt made by the crew to stop it fails. In a desperate attempt to escape, the captain orders the entire crew and passengers to use the escape pods. But, the cargo coldly turns the guns on the escapees, and fires, sending all to a firey death. The captian decides to blow up the ship, and goes down with it. The wreckage lands on a nearby planet. A lone figure of a woman stands, looking over the shoreline as a new day, no, new era begins on this strange planet.

Sound interesting? Good. Because this is Xenogears, the latest role playing game from the geniuses at Square Soft®. A small preview of this game was on a demo disk, included in withParasite Eve, and once I played it, I only had one thought on my mind: Must Get Xenogears!! Needless to say, when I had the money, I went and bought the thing, and no one I knew's life was the same ever since. I am trying to promote the greatness of this game, hopefully so it will become more popular.

The game starts out in a burning village, where a man jumps into a strange robot before him. He starts to fight some other strange robots, and a man named Citan yells to "Fei", telling him that he cannot fight in the village. For what reason is he not supposed to fight? And who are these people? What's going on? Don't worry, you will soon find out. The scene ends in a shot of flame, and we see a man named Fei painting a picture. This is just the start of one of the most confusing, complicated, and greatest rpgs of all time.
