Phonecards of Buelorus
First card of Minsk First phonecards in Byelarus were issued in 1993. They were used only for local calls in Minsk (capital of Byelarus). Cards were made on military factory KVARTS in Nizhny Novgorod. Series of cards includes cards with the 2 various texts (one of them same as cards of  Nizhny Novgorod) and is printed on a light brown carton. Some cards were issued with various errors.
Soon after the issue of the first cards in Minsk the cards for long-range calls and international calls were issued. A series includes 2 cards of face values 100 and 200 units. A type of cards - URMET. These cards are applied till now. Minsk - URMET
BELCEL In 1994 in Byelarus were issued 5 cards by firm BELCEL. Each of cards of face values 10 and 20 units has identical pictures but texts in the Byelarussian or English languages. The card of face value 50 units has the text in English only. A type of cards - magnetic, manufacturer - British Telecom.
Since a 1994 in Byelarus have begun to be applied a chip card manufactured by the Minsk factory ELECTRONIKA. These cards reusable (re-programmable). The face values of cards are designated in minutes of talk by local communication - 15, 30, 60 and 120 minutes. More than 60 various cards are issued till now. Minsk - Chip
Brest First series of cards in Brest was issued in 1997 by firm BELTELEKAM. A series consists of 4 chip cards. These cards are applied to the long-range calls in payphones which are placed in towns of the Brest area.
