Some   of   My   Poetry!!!!

I hope you enjoy my poetry, I'm not as good as my big sister Emmy, but like her it is always from the heart. Let me know what you think.

Silvia

You are the daughter of our hearts; it seems we felt this from the very start. We never intended for this this bond to grow; but our hearts already seemed to know. You came to us needing a place to stay; until the day you would go away.

When we said yes; who would have guessed a daughter we would get. It's seems that chance gave us the start; yet fate played no small part. We know you have family there; they taught you the world has love to spare.

You came from special people; who were willing to share the love of their daughter. Whom they taught to love and care. We are glad they sent you here; although there had to be a certain amount of fear. What would happen to you here; how could they know you would be held so dear.

This is dedicated to our German born daughter. She wasn't born of our blood, but of our hearts which is just as good. We love you Silvia..... Always Mom and Dad.

Soul Battle

A soul that always feels pain; has something to say. Should it run; or should it stay. What can it do to stop what it didn't start. When the soul feels it played only a small part; in aiming the knife at it's own heart.

The soul fells it must be understood. So it goes on; with very little good. Something deep; and dark tells it... I never would.

The soul knows it must push on; because love is what makes it fight. Giving into tears each and every night. The soul knows; this battle must never be lost. So it fights on; regardless of the cost.

The soul looks forward to the day when it has finally won; the battle over and done. Something deep; and dark tells the soul. You fool; you only dream. For you no victory will there be; of that I am sure to see. The soul cries out with pain at these words; but it resolves to never give in. This battle; the soul must win.

How can the soul explain; it has no choice. The battle set long ago; when two souls met and decided to make a start. The war was waged deep in their hearts.

Only their battles are not the same; one listens to that deep dark part. That always wants to control, and hurt the deep witin the heart.

The other battles to make him see; that he doesn't have to listen to any part. But the truth deep within his own heart.

Lord, Forgive Me When I Whine

Today, upon a bus, l saw a lovely girl with golden hair. I envied her...she seemed so gay. l wished I were as fair. When suddenly she rose to leave, l saw her hobble down the aisle. She had one leg and wore a crutch. But as she passed...a smile! Oh, God forgive me when I whine. I have two legs. The world is mine!

I stopped to buy some candy. The lad who sold it had such charm. l talked with him. He seemed so glad. If I were late 'twould do no harm. And as I left he said to me: "I thank you. You have been so kind. It's nice to talk with folks like you. You see," he said, "I'm blind." Oh, God forgive me when I whine. I have two eyes. The world is mine!

Later, while walking down the street, I saw a child with eyes of blue. He stood and watched the others play. He did not know what to do. I stopped a moment, then l said, "Why don't you join the others, dear?" He looked ahead without a word, and then I knew he could not hear. O God, forgive me when I whine. l have two ears. The world is mine!

With feet to take me where I'd go, with eyes to see the sunset's glow, with ears to hear what I would know... O God forgive me when I whine. I'm blessed indeed. The world is mine.

IF I CALL YOU FRIEND

If I call you friend, You will always share a piece of my heart. I will always pride myself, To always be true to you. As much as I need friends, So must you. I will also share a place in your heart, To be there whenever you need me. I may not be there in flesh, But I will always be there in spirit. I will cope with your moods, And try to understand your needs. When you are angry, I will laugh with you. As sadness overwhelms you, We will cry together. If you feel down and kicked, I will pick you up and brush away your doubts. When you think you can't continue, I will remind you that you can. As you become discouraged, I will boost your ego high. At times when you wish to talk, My attention will be all yours. Being a friend I don't take lightly, It's my desire, never a chore. At times when you must mourn, I shall mourn with you. If you need some silence, yet not be alone, We will sit together in the peace of quiet. When you wish to play, You will always have a playmate. When you feel on top of the world, I’ll pat your back and tell you, you deserve to be. You will never be completely alone, A piece of me will always be with you. One thing I can always give, Is the gift of friendship for you to accept. Allow our friendship to make you smile, Bring joy to your life as you have to mine. When you become confused and lose your way, Let me guide you in the right direction. Lean on me when you need support, Let me share your sorrow and pain. What good can a friend really be, If you can't understand we will always care. If I call you friend, You will always know, A friend you have in me. Author Unknown

Again my Heartfelt thanks to Wendell & Nancy DeerWithHorns,
for another beautiful poem.

All of the graphics, and the background belong to me,
do not remove them without my permission.
Thank you, Dream Wolf.

RAGGED JOHN

Tattered clothes all fluttering
Worn out voice still muttering
Ragged John comes knocking
At all the doors in town.

And when a door swings open
Then you can hear the hope in
The thin, cracked voice that wonders
If you've seen his Unicorn.

And we all know that John is crazy
And his mind has gone all hazy
And the only thing we wish
Is that he just would let us be.

But John, he keeps on questing
And the poor man knows no resting
For there's something hurt within him
And the pain won't go away.

I've heard when John was younger
He was taken with a hunger
To see the white-horned wonder
They call the Unicorn.

But when the star-horned, moon-maned dancer
Finally called, John could not answer;
Fear held him like a prisoner
And he watched walk away.

So now empty-eyed John hobbles
Across the village cobbles,
And the only thing he fears is
It will never come again.

Oh, when I watch old Ragged John
Go staggering by, and wandering on,
I know there's nothing sadder
Than a heart that feared it's dreams.

If a Unicorn should call to you
Some moon-mad night all washed in dew,
Then here's the prayer to whisper:
Grant me the heart to follow.

What a beautiful heart she must have.........

This poem was sent to me, by my packmate Timberwolf

{{{HUGS}}} Hon, and thanks again, I love it.....

This Poem has no title....
I feel it speaks for it's self....

On a star-lit Summer night
I heard a sound that felt so right.

So gentle and sincere my heart knew
There was nothing to fear.

I looked around to find it's source
What I found was you of course.

As I look deep within your eyes
.....I see
An image quite a lot like me.

For packmate you have touched
My heart
I have liked you from the very
Start.

I want to make it clear you see
That you are so dear to me.

You are my packmate, brother,
And friend......
I know from deep within
Another like you I'll never
Meet again.

This poem is dedicated to my
special friend Timberwolf...

Dare I Dream....

As I walk through the field of dreams
Many places are haunted it seems.

No matter which way I look or turn
Something painful leaps out to burn.

I cry out with pain and dispair
But in this realm there is no one
....to care.

My tears fall as free as rain
Heart and soul....I pray
What can I do to stop the pain.

Then I hear the mocking sound
The voices how they hound
Of us you will never be free
Your soul is our...can't you see.

And in this dream....I cry out in
Dispair
What did I do....How is this fair.

But for me....there is no answer
No one to care..........

CREED

Be so strong that nothing can
disturb your peace of mind. Talk health, happiness, and
prosperity to every person you meet. Make all your friends feel
there is something in them. Look at the sunny side of everything.
Be as enthusiastic about the
success of others as
you are about your own.
Forget the mistakes of the past
and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
Give everyone a smile.
Spend so much time improving yourself
that you have no time left to criticize others.
Be too big for worry and
too noble for anger. Christan D. Larsen IF I COULD
CATCH A RAINBOW .....
I WOULD DO IT
JUST FOR YOU
AND SHARE WITH
YOU ITS BEAUTY
ON THE DAYS
YOU'RE FEELING BLUE..
IF I COULD
BUILD A MOUNTAIN
YOU COULD CALL
YOUR VERY OWN
A PLACE TO FIND SERENITY
A PLACE TO BE ALONE~~~~~~
IF I COULD
TAKE YOUR TROUBLES
I WOULD TOSS
THEM IN THE SEA~~~~~~
BUT ALL THESE THINGS
I'M FINDING ARE
IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME,
I CANNOT BUILD
A MOUNTAIN
OR CATCH A
RAINBOW FAIR
BUT LET ME BE
WHAT I KNOW BEST
A FRIEND THAT'S
ALWAYS THERE.
