Was founded in 1906. It’s one of the first such museums in the world and it has assembled close on 40.000 items, which make it probably the richest collection in existence.

The Old – New Synagogue

Which is an early gothic building completed about 1280. It is situated next to the much later Jewish Town Hall

The Old Jewish cemetery

Here is the oldest preserved tombstone date in 1439 and marks the burial place of Abigdor Kara, poet and scholar

The Pinkas Synagogue

Is the one and only memorial to the victims of the Nazi reign of terror.
