BEING A HUMAN BEING

ALOK KUMAR MISRA’94

The World is in chaos.

Everything around is mortally ill,

And with it are decaying

Morals, values, culture and feelings.

We ponder, we wonder.

And find ourselves helpless, because:

We think too much,

But feel too little.

We pretend a lot,

But care a little.

We injure profusely,

But heal little.

And the reason is,

We are Human Beings,

Just being Human Beings.

We possess very much,

But deserve very little.

We are culturing not our children, but

Machines and Robots with artificial intelligence.

We are busy making ‘Human-like’ machines,

And humans with mechanical brain and heart.

Truly,

The World will come to an end.

Not from a Nuclear-War,

But from the Power, within.

Which preaches-"Stop behaving like Humans".
