The present tower and light station replaced a smaller structure that was built in 1817 but later found to be too small for this location. The old light was dismantled and rebuilt as the Duncannon North Light in 1838. This new light stands 49 ft (14.9 m)and is 105 ft (32 m) above mean high water. |
