Capt. J. Grose

I have been on & off your web pages for a while now and like to say DAMN well done! They're outstanding and really motivate people. As a recruit, I find your pages humorous and very motivating. Before I decided to enlist in the Corps and join the Delayed Entry Program, I started to look at the different armed services. I talked to their recruiters and it seemed every recruiter was just throwing money at me. How much they can give me if I signed up. The only one that did not was the Marine recruiter and he really made an impression on me. He didn't tell me how much money he could get me or what the Marine Corps could give me like everybody else was. The sergeant was straightforward and told me what the corps was about. At that time, I was a sophomore in high school and by the time senior year rolled by, I was already in the Delayed Entry Program. As I write this email to you, I have only 10 days left before I ship out to Paris Island (July 16, 2000). Semper Fi and keep up the good work. Your tip on memorizing the general orders really helps.
