CBS reports that Holy has refused the offer from HBO for his delayed unification rumble against Lennox Lewis. After a tough negotiation between HBO and Holyfield, Holy keeps his position to get a contract of US$ 25 million for the fight against Lewis.
This is the second offer waived by HBO after in December 1997 they offered US$ 16 million for Holyfield in the fight against Lewis. Certainly Holy refused the payment, as he was paid US$ 20 million in his fight against Moorer in last November 1997.
Holy himself has confirmed that he would wait until year of 2000 to get the decent contract from HBO; he plans to retire in 2000.
