I always thought this song was about comparing life to the craziness of a carnival. Sometimes I look at the world around me and my part in it and really have to wonder what am I doing here.
Sometimes I it takes a real effort to make sense of life and rise above all that uncontrollable nuttiness. Sometimes it's just easier to lose yourself in a decent bit of music played really loud. Anyhow, turns out the song is really just about a bad experience the guys had playing at a carnival once upon a time. So much for my deep thoughts. :^)
