Village Life in India
Postscript:

After returning back from the village, many wondered how I managed. I was fine, I told them. Actually, I really enjoyed the time spent in the village. A day dream of mine is to live in such a village.

Although, I must say, that I realize daily life is totally different than what we experienced there in the ten day stay!
Taking rest...
Chillin' with Thatha
Interesting facts...

The porch on which I slept (top photo) is made of mud. Each morning, women come to clean their mud-made porches with cow dung and water, then draw the designs (kolum) on them with rice flour.

If you are interested in reading further on life in Tamil Nadu, a book I highly recommend is Notes on Love in a Tamil Family by Margaret Trawick.
