Hiring a Cleaning Lady

The Goldfarbs had finally made it through hard work, frugal living, and sound investments. Mr. Goldfarb always promised his wife that when they reached such a point in time, he would let his wife enjoy more leisure by hiring a cleaning lady.

Weeks and weeks went by, but she hadn't hired one. "Irving, it almost seems that nobody wants to be a cleaning lady anymore! I wish this were 100 years ago when it was easy to get servants."

"No you don't, Sadie. A hundred years ago, WE wouldn't be hiring servants, we would BE the servants."
