Flutie, 18-for-39 for 228 yards and 1 TD, made first NFL start in over 9 years in place of injured Rob Johnson. Flutie, who scored TD on broken play, had third NFL TD rushing and first since 1988. Flutie, fourth in AFC with 93.8 rating, likely starter with Johnson (rib) questionable. WR Eric Moulds had 4 receptions for 68 yards, including 12-yard TD. WR Andre Reed had 5 catches for 49 yards. RB Thurman Thomas had 30 yards on 7 carries and 44 yards on 4 catches.

Beuerlein, whose 103.9 rating would be third in NFC if he had enough attempts, has completed 70 percent of passes. Held to 67 yards rushing. RB Fred Lane had 59 yards and 1 TD on 20 carries. WR Muhsin Muhhamad had 6 catches for 56 yards. WR Raghib Ismail had 5 receptions for 62 yards. RB Anthony Johnson had 4 receptions. TE Wesley Walls broke bone in left hand and is questionable.
