What is Critiques and More

Critiques and More is an on-line critiquing group, much like Andrew Burt's Critters group. It is not a replacement for Critters, as explained in the why section. I have every respect for Critters and encourage everybody to join it. It is for authors of every genre, style, and manner to get input on their works before they submit them.

Critiques and More also has a mailing list where members can exchange comments beyond the normal critiques.

Who runs Critiques and More?

C&M is run by John Meyer, a student at the University of Southern Colorado. John is a writer, web designer, programmer, and avid ham radio fan. He also masquerades as the poderator of the TechBits pod, Kalvin Richter.

Why create Critiques and More

The reason behind creating C&M was that I felt that several different types of manuscripts were going unnoticed. Critters devotes itself to sci-fi, fantasy, and horror. Nothing wrong with that, but there are other genres out there, and I think they deserve a place to be heard.

Enter C&M. Critiques and more is not only about critiquing those pieces, but giving authors an ongoing chance to interact regarding their work, to work with their critics in an interactive way. Hopefully, this will be the place to do it.

How do I join

The simple way is to send me an e-mail with your name and e-mail at john_meyer@geocities.com. Subject line should be JOIN CRITIQUES AND MORE so I can send you an auto-reply.
