He says I love you
She believes his lies
As she thinks it can't happen to me
He leaves her when she tells him
She that only cared about looks,
Is in the maternity store
Reflecting on how her nickel waist is now a dime
She thinks this will be much harder than she thought
She gave up her dreams and time for her
As she cries she must say goodbye to her friends
She runs into him again
He tells her stories of his new girlfriend
And she puts on a butterfly smile
The baby's crying again
Dreams lie shattered on the floor
You can't turn back time
Now she cries thinking about what could have been
