It was Thanksgiving evening 1996, two friends and I went to a bar called Mr. C's at the time. It was a real dive, but it served its main purpose as an establishment. Anyway, we were sitting and drinking whatever, except for Adrian, he wouldn't sit down no matter what. I was drinking a double John Walker Red Label and coke when Aidina caught my attention. I don't know what it was about her, but I just enjoyed watching her dance out there. Well, we started leaving later that evening, but I couldn't remember exactly when considering i had way too much that night. What I do remember is that I ran into Aidina in the parking lot, and just stared at her finally saying, " Where have I seen you before?" She replied that she wasn't sure and told me where she worked at. Well after that, a couple of weeks passed and I ran into her at her work. It was the morning of December 26th, she asked what I was doing and I said I was getting ready to leave for home that evening. We spoke a little bit and told me that she would be at the bar that evening, I thought about my options later that day and stayed in town so I could see her at the bar. Well, I got to know her quite alot that evening, but it wasn't until New Year's 1997 that we really started dating. We went to Lake Fryer after the New Years countdown and called it the start of a new beginning of our relationship.
The Wedding Day!
The wedding wasn't too bad. It was a nervous time for both of us. Our idea of a small group attending was exactly what we asked for. My brother was my bestman and Joey, Aidina's brother, was the groomsman. And Lisa, Charles' girlfriend, was the maid of honor and Becky, Joey's wife, was a bride's maid. We were married by a JP, and everyone attending enjoyed our serious, but comical change in life. The wedding took place at 1:15 pm, Saturday, June 20th, 1998 with a small reception that evening starting at 5 pm. From that day on it has been enjoyable with its occassional ups and downs.
