I have been researching my family tree for about 20 years, and this is my favorite hobby. The Osburn name is also found as Osborn, Osborne, Orsbun, and Orsborn in this same family. The Osburns and Carters came from Tennessee and Kentucky to Arkansas around 1870. They lived in Newton and Johnson Counties until 1903 when they moved to the Massard area of Sebastian County and from there they scattered to Washington and Crawford Counties and Leflore County, Oklahoma. I haven't been successful in locating the Carter family in Kentucky, and this family is my real "Brick Wall". The other related surnames came from North Carolina and Tennessee to Madison County, Arkansas and eventually to Franklin County, Arkansas. I would appreciate any help you can offer, and I will be very happy to share more information with anyone working on these families.
