Pokémon Addicts Webring "DROP A PEBBLE in the water: just a splash, and it is gone;
But there's half-a-hundred ripples circling on and on and on,
Spreading, spreading from the center, flowing on out to the sea.
And there is no way of telling where the end is going to be.
~James W. Foley

As of August 1, 1999, the queue of the Pokémon Addicts Webring is officialy closed. No new sites will be accepted.
Sites that were in the queue prior to this date will still be placed in the ring if they follow the requirements.
The ring itself, and the sites already part of it will remain as they are.
The club is also put on indefinate hiatus.

Reasons being, Psycat and I have found it to be a much more stressful and annoying job than either of us probably guessed. Constant emails of 'Why haven't I been added yet?' 'How do I put this code thing on my page?' 'Give me pokemon codes' (That isn't even my department!) Honestly people, if you have no idea how to cut and paste or write a little html, you're not ready to join a ring yet, trust me.

I think the major downfall comes from the people who just don't give a d*mn how much work was actualy put into running a webring. People seem to have it in their heads that it's such a simple job, but try logging into WebRing (if it hasn't locked you out!), clicking on a queue site, finding the code, making sure it's right, going BACK to WebRing, adding them to the ring, and doing it again...dozens of times a night! It may sound simple, but it gets old REALLY fast. And the 'why haven't I been added?' (often much more rudely put) doesn't help much either.

If you wish to stay, click here to browse through a listing of the ring sites.

Thanks for everyone's support for nearly an entire year!
