The Internet Traffic Report monitors the flow of data around the world. It then displays a
value between zero and 100. Higher values indicate faster and more reliable connections.
World-wide reports and USA city reports.
Useful for downloading and audio conferences at off-peak times.

Microsoft NetMeeting
This is a free program, which allows you to talk (similar to a telephone call) to other
people who have the same program.  You can also send each other photos or astrological charts by using the 'whiteboard' feature.  Once set up, click on the world 'Directory' so that you can talk to others around the world.
If the first link does not work, try the others:

ICQ  (" I Seek You" )
5 Million people use this free download.  It is brilliant !  There are too many features to describe here, but in short - it allows you to be connected with others who are online the same time as you are, and to send notes that stand out more prominently compared to email.
Text chat and much more.
One of these two sites will work:

SiSoft Sandra (the System ANalyser, Diagnostic and Reporting Assistant)
http://www.sisoftware.demon.co.uk/common/what.htm
This is an information & diagnostic utility. It should provide most of the information (including undocumented) you need to know about your hardware, software and other devices whether hardware or software. This should fix many problems that you may encounter with your computer, and should save $$$ and a trip to the computer workshop!
Sandra provides similar level of information to Norton SI, Quarterdeck WinProbe/Manifest, etc.
It isa native 32-bit Win32 application. It also provides information on 16-bit Windows and DOS unlike many other system information programs...

POWERTOYS for Windows 95
http://www.microsoft.com/windows95/info/powertoys.htm
These are not really 'toys' or games.  Microsoft has made these installations freely available so that Windows 95 is easier to use, or at least more convenient to some users.  It is a quick download.  One that I use enables me to adjust the 'menu pop-up' speed, which was much too quick before I installed the relevant Powertoy program. Another that I use is a modified 'send to' file.
