LOCATION: Boralande town of the Welimada electorate

INCIDENT:About ten comrades were erecting propaganda banners and flags for the publicity of the public meeting called on the 12th of July.
Some UNP supporters have arrived at the place where the comrades of JVP were busy with their propaganda activities and threatened them. The mob were drunk and some have tried to hit the comrades with the liquor bottles.
Then some of the neighbours have come to the place and asked the mob to disperse. Later they have left the place.
Complain made at Police:
On the 03rd of July Local Councillor of JVP comrade Samitha Gunawardane and comrade Upul Gnanasiri have made a POLICE entry regarding the incident.

INCIDENT:On that day at about 6.30 pm there had been a welcome ceremony for the Provincial Council Candidates of the party.
After the function the contestants have dispersed and at about 7.00pm the gang of PA supporters have come. They have assaulted the comrades who were there at that moment and some furniture have been destroyed

1. Laxman Jayawardane(JVP councillor in Thalawa Local Council and candidate for the Provincial Council Polls)
2. Nihal Seneviratne
INCIDENT:Local councillor and his colleagues were returning home after handing over the JVP nominations for the due Provincial Council Polls.
Their vehicle has been forced to stop by the mob at Queens junction.
They have assaulted the candidates and robbed about Rs. 2000 from comrade Laxman.
Later the injured cadidates were admitted to Anuradhapura general hospital for medical treatments

5. Jayatilake(member of the JVP)
6. Sunil Kulatilake(member of the JVP)

INCIDENT:The JVP members have been pasting propaganda posters for a public gathering on the establishment of Polonnaruwa Electoral Federation of the JVP.
The PA supporters who arrived at them assaulted without any reason.
They have torn some 200 posters of the propaganda cmpaign and bicycles of the party were thrown away.
The injured were taken to the medical treatments and one of them is still not released from the hospital care.

LOCATION: Kiribathgoda town

Victims of the Attack:
1.Nandana Nishantha(member of the JVP)
INCIDENT:Four JVPers were pasting posters for the JVP propaganda campaign targetted the due Provincial council polls. Jinadasa Nandasena(MP of PA govt) has come with his supporters who forcefully took comrade Nandana Nishantha into the vehicle and drove away.
2 hours later, at about 4.30am victim was found left unconcious near a JVP local councillors residence at Peliyagoda.
The abductors have brutally assaulted the party member owing to their political enmity and the worst thing is that they have shaved the head and painted using emulsion paint.
Out of the rage these inhuman mob have painted all over the party member's body and along his backbone the letters "J V P" were painted.
The party member is now getting medical treatments at Ragama Hospital.
Later asked for comments by a media agent MP Nandasena who led the brutality has denied his involvement. But he has boasted "If I catch any member of the JVP he will be skinned !"
He has also said that if anybody attacks the JVPers surely he'll support that and he approved the suppression on JVP lead by the former UNP govt. He has approved the assassination of comrade Rohana Wijeweera the founder leader of the JVP.
