This small cemetery is off the beaten path in Coshocton County, Ohio. It rests on a hilltop above the original church off Coshocton County Road 367 in Perry Township. It is located about 3 miles northwest of West Carlisle. My 2nd great-grandfather, Samuel Binger, attended this church. His first wife, Sarah Jane (Mercer) Binger, and six children are buried here nestled among the trees. Newspaper obituaries indicate Samuel Binger was buried here in 1906 although no headstone can be located.
Winding Fork Evangelical Lutheran Church was built about 1848 and has been since converted into a family home. Before the church was built, the congregation met in the schoolhouse located just west of the present church (across the bridge).
The early members were the families of Absolom Wolf, Henry Keifer, John Sossaman, Jacob Huffman, George Beckley, Jacob Mikesell, George and Susan Mikesell, George and Catherine Long.
After the church closed its doors, the building was used for "grange meetings" and social events.

These last few are on the very top of the hill and are a) the oldest therefore most worn; or b) are more exposed to the elements due to their position on the hill. If anyone has connections to these families, can make out names or dates that I cannot, please contact me.
