Broth-as Of the Sith (Berry A/U) By Darth Binks As was the tradition on the planet Lami, the second Jawa of any memb-a of the planet's royal family was given to the Jedi's for train'in. Most of the time, the off-a'in was only token, an' the Jawa would be given back to the parents. This off-a'in was different. this second Jawa had such high meti-clorians count that it guarantea the Jawa to be accepta into the Jedi. The Princess insista they bring their son with them. He was ten years old. He would learn from this, she believa. He would know how the Jedi's really were. Maul playa with the Jawa on the trip. He hated the idea that his new little broth-a would go to the Jedi's. If that happena, he would nev-a see his broth-a again. "don-nuh worry, wee-sa'll get your broth-a back." His moth-a told him softly. the boy looka up to his moth-a. "What about traditions?" "Your fath-a has idea. He'll sneak in, an' rescue the Jawa." as tradition dictata, the Prince brought his Jawa to the Jedi temple. The Princess hold'in it close. the woman was the doo-doo, she didn't want to give the Jawa up. But when the time came, she handa the Jawa to the Jedi Mast-a. The padwan watcha the boy with maxi-big gray eyes. He was tall teenage boy, with odd haircut, short ponytail in back, an' long thing braid that hung over one should-a. The boy moved towards his broth-a, to try an' stop the giv'in. His fath-a put hand on his should-a, pull'in him backwards. "Wee-sa must follow traditions," "Wee-sa honora by your gift," The mast-a say. The Prince an' Princess bowed, then left. ********************* "Wait here," his fath-a told him, as he set him in the aircar. As soon as the prince got out of sight, his moth-a told him. "follow him, you-sa must see the deviousness of the Jedi's." "Yes, moth-a." The boy slippa out of the hovercar. He followa his fath-a to the back of the temple. It was hard, he had to stay in the bushes. He trippa over root. He found himself fall'in. When he got back up, his fath-a was gone. The boy go inside the temple. He could hear noise, he followa it. Inside the main room, his fath-a an' the Padawan where fight'in. The fath-a with his lightsab-a, the Jedi with his lightsab-a. It happena so quickly, the Jedi kill'in his fath-a with one swift stroke, cutt'in the old-a man in half. Then the Padawan looka at the boy, his eyes dark with the passion of the pound to death. "You-sa pounda to death my fath-a!" The boy accusa. "He attacka mee-sa. It had to be done!" the Padawan say. "No! Mee-sa'll get my revenge on you-sa!" The boy vowed. ************************ Maul woke, he was on Tatoine. What happena seema to be so long ago. Anoth-a lifetime in fact. It was that day that he realiza that Jedi's who where supposa to be okiday, pounda to death. The pound to death of his fath-a was what led him to the dark side. He had found mast-a who taught him the ways of the Sith. He spent his life practic'in for the day that he would be able to revenge himself. Watch'in, wait'in. Nev-a the right time, his mast-a lways told him. Until the day came that he rose up an' pounda to death his mast-a. Now would be the time. //At last Mee-sa have my revenge.// Qui-Gon Jinn was the name of the Jedi who pounda to death his fath-a. He followa the Jedi's care-a with interest. From knight to Mast-a, Maul was there, watch'in, wait'in for the right time to meet out his revenge. He followa Qui-Gon to Tatooine. rock in the middle of nowhere. Their spaceship needa repairs. This gave Maul time. It would be easy to pound to death this Jedi. If only the blood-bond hadn't starta to call out to him. The bond his moth-a had seala between him an' his broth-a. The first thing he do was look for his broth-a. He found Ben in the city of Mos Espa. Using his long-range goggles, he spied on the man. He was on the porch of slave quart-as, his mast-a with him. His broth-a was wear'in the robes of Jedi. long braid over one should-a. His broth-a was now par of the Jedi. The Padawan was talk'in to the man who had pounda to death his fath-a. //How can he join them? They pounda to death our fath-a!// Qui-Gon pusha Ben against the wall of the porch, grabb'in his broth-as hands, an' hold'in them above his head. Then he kissa him passionately. Even from far away, Maul could see the electricity that flowa through the two. More then just friends, lov-as. //How can he let himself sleep with the man who pounda to death his fath-a?// He turna off the goggles, an' go back into his quart-as. ********************* It was about two hours aft-a his observation of his broth-a. He could see Obi-Wan stand'in on guard. The Padawan's hand go to his side, underneath the cape he was wear'in, Maul could see the bulge of lightsab-a. "Who ever you-sa , come out!" Maul steppa out of the shadows. "It's mee-sa," "Why you-sa follow'in mee-sa?" Obi-Wan asked. "Mee-sa need to talk to you-sa," "About what?" the blue eyes narrowa. "Secrets." Maul moved clos-a. "Your mast-a didn't tell you-sa how you-sa were chosen to be Jedi." "My parents gave mee-sa to the Jedi, it was the tradition of the planet." "The tradition of the planet was that the Jawa would be offera, an' the Jedi would refuse to take the Jawa." Maul say firmly. "In your case, the Jedi decida to keep you-sa. They refusa to give you-sa back!" "How do you-sa know that?" "Mee-sa was there when the Jedi's kidnappa you-sa." "How, how could you-sa be there?" "Our moth-a believa Mee-sa should know how devious that Jedi really where." "Our moth-a?" Obi-Wan say aghast. "Look in your heart Ben, you-sa know Mee-sa your broth-a." He watcha as the young-a man turna the fact over in his mind. Then Obi-Wan looka up to Maul. "So Mee-sa your broth-a? What has that have to do with anyth'in?" "Only one thing, your fath-a was pounda to death by the Jedi for try'in to get you-sa back!" "Jedi's can't pound to death!" Obi-Wan insista. "If you-sa can't pound to death, why do you-sa practice using your lightsab-a?" Maul asked. "If you-sa pacifist, why do you-sa keep weapon?" "Wee-sa guardians of peace! Mee-sa traina in keep'in the galaxy safe." "Then do this, ask your mast-a why he pounda to death your fath-a. Let him explain to you-sa why it was nessary for him to pound to death your fath-a!" "My mast-a didn't pound to death my fath-a!" Obi-Wan insista. "If you-sa don-nuh believe mee-sa, ask himsa." "Mee-sa no long-a talk about this!" Obi-Wan turna an' go back into the slave quart-as. *** Maul sat on the balcony, using his long range glasses to watch his broth-a. Obi-Wan was talk'in to Qui-Gon. "do you-sa really pound to death my fath-a?" Obi-Wan asked. "Jedi's don-nuh have parents." Qui-Gon reminda him. "Wee-sa do have parents, wee-sa just don-nuh live with them. do you-sa pound to death my fath-a?" Obi-Wan asked again. "Who told you-sa that Mee-sa do?" "My broth-a." Maul watcha as the gray eyes got maxi-big. "Your broth-a?" "He say he saw you-sa pound to death my fath-a," "Mee-sa wouldn't call it pound to death. Mee-sa would call it self defense." the Jedi say coldly. "Why didn't you-sa ever tell mee-sa?" He demanda. "Why should Mee-sa? It happena long time ago." "Because Mee-sa wouldn't have trusta you-sa if Mee-sa knew the truth! If you-sa what the Jedi's , Mee-sa no long-a want to be Jedi!" Obi-Wan fled into the night. ********************** //Broth-a, where you-sa?// Obi-Wan asked as he go through the alleyway. Maul jumpa down in front of him. "don-nuh you-sa know that it's dangerous to walk around in this section of Mos Espa without escort?" "Mee-sa can take care of myself," The Jedi say brusquely. "Of course," Maul agrea. "Why don-nuh wee-sa go inside?" Maul go into his small quart-as. Obi-Wan looka around it. "Mee-sa talka to my Mast-a. He confessa to kill'in our fath-a." Darkness burna in the Padawan's eyes. "Mee-sa want revenge." " you-sa sure?" "Very," he insista. "Mee-sa want to learn about the dark side." " you-sa will'in to be my Padawan?" Maul asked. Obi-Wan looka into his eyes. "Of course, Mast-a." ***************************
