The Servant Franciscans of the Immaculate is a canonically established communion
of autonomous Franciscan religious orders, operating within the Catholic and Apostolic Church. We are a faith community whose
heritage extends back to the earliest days of the Church, some one thousand years before the separate nominal distinctions
of a "Roman Catholic" and "Orthodox" Church existed... to the time of the Apostles.
We are a pilgrim people... Franciscan brothers and sisters on a journey, from the Gospel to life,
and ultimately toward the Eternal Presence of God. From time to time, we need to look up from the path we are on, and check
that it leads where we want to go.
As "exiled sons and daughters of the Church", the religious orders and faith communities
within the Apostolic Society of Franciscan Communities are deeply committed to the Franciscan ideal that seeks to become "living
stones" upon which a stronger, more charismatic and compassionate Church can be rebuilt. We are a people devoted, by word
and deed, to engendering a more authentic and inclusive experience of the Catholic Mysteries and find in the message of Christ,
a call to social justice, prayerful and celebrative worship, cultural and racial diversity and compassionate care for those
who are sick, dying or less fortunate.
