Arrowhead Lake 3 August 1998
From: Coldwater Canyon trailhead Vertical gain: 650 ft.
To: the lake and back Mileage: 2 mi. round trip
Heinous Factor: stock trails suck! People Factor: a bunch

[Picture]
the parking lot and trail head, Arrowhead is the first lake, we didn't go all the way to Duck (yet?).

so, we walked up the trail to the sign that said ...

and this is about 270 deg. looking from the notch at the back of the arrowhead towards the tip

the arrowhead points directly at the back of Mammoth Mt.
as the colorful Sherwins tower above to the east

then it is time to head back down the hill

the water is COLD but they love to huck themselves off the cliff.
the low point is 10-15 feet and the BIG one is about 35 (10 meters)!

Scotty is checking out the Minarets, Ritter and Banner
from one of the many small glacial polished areas.

and the legacy left by our forefathers, Tin Cans, at every camp site, town site, etc.
We are leaving plastic water bottles??
