Five (relatively) young "non-professional" musicians from the Görlitz "neighbourhood" made it their business to play Christian songs of the young folks at church services, and similar events (so-called Jugendwochen and Jugendabende), as well as little concerts without any church activities. Their songs are mainly arranged for sing-along purposes and are stylistically based on Pop and Rock music. The Kellerband also plays some jazz, a few original instrumental tunes and some classic Rock covers.
