God Cares About Our Pain

We've all grieved, whether it's a death, finances, sickness, hurt relationships or a move. There's many things that can cause grief, but what we do with that grief is what really counts.

Matt 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

God is always there, He understands exactly what we're going through and He cares. He doesn't want to see us hurting, but if we look to Him, then God will pull us through the pain.

Jesus suffered grief. Do you remember the story of Lazarus? Lazarus had died and his sister Mary went to Jesus crying. She said if Jesus had been there then her brother wouldn't have died. She understood Christ's love for her and her family.

John 11:35 says, "Jesus wept."

You bet. Jesus wept over Lazarus' death. God understands our grief and wants us to overcome the grief. Jesus knew about Heaven! He knew Lazarus wasn't suffering anymore but He also felt the pain of Lazarus' death. Grief is a normal reaction but we need to remember God wants to hear from us during these times.

God wants us to pour out our hearts to Him during our troubles. Remember, when you accepted Christ as your Saviour, He came to live within you. He's always with you. He knows your name. He knows every step you take. Turn to Him and He will lead you out of your sorrows.

We need to learn from our struggles and pains. Remember, we belong to God and He will use every aspect of your life if you will give it up to Him.

2 Cor 1:4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. Rom 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

As I strive to be more like Christ, I've realized how important it is to love and act accordingly to God's word. There will be times when I will grieve but by staying close to God's word, and praying for strength, I will overcome and grow. I"ll be able to conquer my sadness and use it for the Glory of God's Kingdom. You too can do the same, by staying focused on God and all He has done for you.

Woman At The Well

She was desperate. Nothing had went right in her life, she had looked for love in all the wrong places, in town, with other men. No one or nothing could fill that empty spot. I'm sure you're familiar with the story, John Chapter 4. As this woman approached the well, there was a man there. Who do you think it was? Yes, you're right, Jesus. He offered her living water. Living Water! Yep, water that never runs dry. Jesus would be the water.

When you meet Christ and accept His love, your life changes. You don't have to worry where your life will lead, because you have a peace that it's all in Jesus' hands. He's the potter and you're the clay.

Don't hide what Christ has done for you in your life. Be like the Samaritan Woman. When Christ told her about His living water, she went to town and told everyone. She wasn't afraid people would mock her, she'd already lived a difficult life. Instead, she trusted in Jesus and His word and told everyone. Her witness led many people to knowing this great Jesus of love and peace. And your witness will too!

Now, her life continued to be hard. She didn't have a magical change of status, but one thing did change. It was the way she looked at her worth. She now had an inheritance that neither moth nor rust could destory. She had an inheritance that would last for eternity.

You too can have that inheritance, have the assurance of a life eternal. If you haven't accepted Christ as your Saviour, please email me and I would love to speak with you about all Christ has to offer.
