In American Literature History we find the very first book published was that of poetry. It was the "Bay Psalms Book" (1640) and the first American Best seller was the "The Day of Doom" another poem(1662) by Minister Michael Wigglesworth. It was owned by about one out of thirty-five people in New England--roughly equivalent to a poem selling six million copies today. Puritanism as a way of life usually wrote for instruction or inspiration. The Puritans were from the North Eastern region of the United States. The Southern Literature reflected more on the outward than on the inward. They wrote less on religion than the Northerners did. The first Printing press in America was in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1639. Anne Bradstreet published "The Tenth Muse Lately Sprung Up" in America (1650). So, I guess you could say that my poems are more like that of the original American Literature of the Puritans. My poems are inspiring and some times instructing too. And most of my poems will have some mention of the celestial bodies or of the Creator Himself.

I, like some of the troops was diagnosed with Post Trauma Stress Disorder. After loosing a five bedroom home and my four children in December of '94 and forced to go live in an abandoned home in the city of Jackson, Mississippi where crime was thriving. I had no where to live but an abandoned apt. across from a drug and alcohol treatment gathering hall.
I had never lived in a city before. Only in small towns where I was always protected. I wasn't used to ever hearing guns go off in my neighborhood, and I didn't know what crack was. I wasn't used to seeing drug users walk up and down the street.
I was terrified, I was all alone and I got mentally sick with PTSD. I was also depressed being separated from my children so I didn't get any better. It went from bad to worse. I didn't have food to eat and there wasn't anywhere I could go to get help. For four months all I had to eat was a box of cereal, a jar of peanut butter and a bottle of honey. I would eat one tablespoon of each item every day. I didn't know that I wasn't eating enough for the stress on my body as I had just learned a little about fasting. I needed to lose weight anyway and that was all I had to eat. Every once in a while a neighbor would invite me to his apt. to eat boiled eggs or occasionally a steak. But that was a rare occasion. That following Fall, I developed an inner ear infection and bronchitis as the drivers window was out in my 1967 Barracuda.
I was raped and all I could do was sit up all night long reading my bible by candle light holding onto a baseball bat with the door cracked because it was broken as well as the window. When I would finally sleep I would place a chair and wedge it in front of the door so that I would hear someone if they tried to break in. It would get 120 degree in there with no electricity in the summer and freezing cold in the winter. I was too terrified to sleep. The first time I heard something in that dark, creepy place It was so hot that sweat just dripped off of me. I was in my bathing suit to keep some kind of clothes on and be able to breath.
It was late one night about three A.M. and I heard something and the bed moved.
I jumped up and ran to my car still in my bathing suit and drove to my friends house. I pounded on the door but they were sound asleep. I was in my bathing suit in the middle of the night in Jackson, Mississippi. I drove over there in a 1967 Barracuda that had the drivers side window busted out of it.
That was the nearest to "Crazy" that I have ever been. That had to be when I developed PTSD. Rod Parsley is one of my favorite preachers. He tells a story of how Smith Wigglesworth once had his bed move around on him. Now I know that it was just the devil making those noises and made my bed move. But with no electricity, and all the other things that was going on around there it scared the mess out of me.
I would stay up all night then sleep at the crack of dawn. That went on for two and a half yrs. In the winter I would get so cold that the wind would blow right through the coats and blankets that I would wrap myself in. The good thing that came out of it was that I read the bible. I got the bible down inside of me. It changed who I was inside as I devoured the bible.
The devil used to pick on Smith Wigglesworth too.
But Them good ole timey preachers got smart just like me and we found out it was just the devil and that he couldn't hurt us. The devil can only torment as long as you allow him to. But he can't hurt you. If you are a born again Christian you can take authority over him by binding him and casting him out. I like to anoint my dwelling place with prayer, and reading the bible out loud and then with holy anointed olive oil. It has never once failed to bring the expected result of deliverance and blessing. I just have to put forth the time, and effort that it requires.
Now, after staying in the word, learning the ways of God, I no longer turn to men, sex, drugs, or alcohol, or even cigarettes for comfort.
God has totally set me free from all of those things. I rely on prayer, the word of God and being obedient to the Holy Spirit and what He wants me to do. I pray that my testimony can somehow help a troop be healed from PTSD.
It is a wonder and a miracle that I am still alive after some of the things I have lived through. All you have to do is go to Jackson Revival Center off Silas Brown and many of the leadership there can verify to the validity of that testimony. It happened between December 1994 and June 1996
Please make sure that none of our troops ever go without housing. I am not so sure that anyone could understand the devastation that particular social problem has on an individuals health, their own personal family, and even their futures.
I have seen far too many troops who gave the best of the years, the best of their health, their minds and talents to protect and serve this Nation only to be forgotten in the streets of Florida, Mississippi and Texas. Springfield, Missouri recently made a decision to stop that from happening there.

I wrote the lyrics for Missouri Memories while going to college in Mississippi in 1994. This past weekend Dottie Rambo was tragically killed in an Bus accident. I don't see how she was so successful as a song writer/singer. I have written songs, and I write poetry. After I heard how she gets her songs just like I get mine. And today May 13, 2008 I finally got the melody to Missouri Memories. The only problem is my C.D. Producer is in Mississippi, and my piano is in Florida. I Wrote song while I was in Mississippi last year while I was staying at the church. We had just recorded my first C.D. Of me playing the piano to Scarborough Fair and I put the text of the Psalm of David to it and I sang it to the Melody as I played on the piano. Don't judge a book by it's cover forward;
I don't lie! I have no reason to lie. The Lord said "These are my children who will not lie" I have also made it a purposed habit to obey the ten commands for the past eight years. I am not living any adulterous or deceptive lifestyle so there is no reason why I would have to lie. The records listed are evidences that God has kept me time and time again and He is healing me of many diseases.
Don't Judge A Book By It's Cover;
You can't tell that I was electrocuted almost to death atop of freezer at age five
Wet bare feet from the washer drainage on the floor with only my mom to save my life
She took the broom to knock me down cuz my hands to the water pipes were froze
That hung beneath the ceiling in the basement how I am still alive only God knows
Then I jumped from the haystack in my aunt Betty's barn in the bull pin
And broke the main bone in my leg then mom to Dr. Raynor me she would send
Next was the car accident that slung me across the seat
That never even phased me only made my heart skip a beat
Then yet another wreck that rocked my world and bruised my shoulder real bad
My car stuck in the highway median until It was pulled out by my dad
The four door all steel car that run me over from my knee to my head
a few stitches in my skull and a few broke ribs left me for weeks in bed
Then Eight years later I was almost killed in a motorcycle wreck
Almost lost my eye that time and all this time has messed up my neck
There are other tragedies to sore to tell
I am only glad I not dead and on my way to hell
A year later I found Jesus and He changed my life
Now He is always loving and healing me cause I am His wife
He has kept me from so much other stuff that I'm glad I don't know
I love Him so much more than life and in my life it does show
He means so very much more to me than anything or anyone
When everything and everyone is gone you could say that your undone
A great place to see what really matters in this life
is it kids, fame, fortune, houses, cars or a husband or a wife
I am not here for my own agenda, plans or purpose of any kind
To do His will and please Him to fulfill His plans is only on my mind
When you love Him more than life itself this is when life really begins
He can put the pieces back together and make your life amends
Just prioritize Him as number one and keep Him there always
Then you will have nothing to fear all of your nights and days
"He foils the plans of the nations and the purposes of the peoples but the plans of the Lord stand firm forever to all generations. "All who devoured me shall be devoured, They who plundered me shall be plundered, all who made me a prey shall become prey and they all shall go into captivity every last one of them. Isaiah 29" The Lord has stooped down to make me great and through Him I shall beat my enemies as fine dust and they shall be hurled into the street never to rise again" Psalms 18 and 2 Samuel 22. God is not a man that He should lie nor the son of man that He should repent. Numbers 23 There was no foriegn God amongst Jacob or Kimmy and I obey all the commands of God. I have given my God given authority of Power of atty. over to our military and I told them as long as they are in our armed services that I grant that same blessing upon them. Not just anyone has been given that GOD GIVEN AUTHORITY that GOD GAVE ME "NO MAN WILL BE ABLE TO STAND AGAINST ME ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE" He told me that in three different places less than one month ago. Now, if the extornists and child molestors can bribe a whole nation then they have cut off their nose despite their face. God opens the ears of the oppressed and Pastor Steve gave me Psalms 94 last week where it says "They murder the fatherless and slay the widow but it goes on to say at the last verse that GOD will cut them off and thier own sin inquity will come upon them." God told me in Psalms 18 that I had a mass enemy but HE says I will beat them as fine dust" HE also says in another Psalms that "the nations surrounded me but in the name of the Lord I CUT THEM OFF. And that He subdues nations under me." Then in Isaiah 29 He says again "MY MANY ENEMIES WILL BECOME LIKE FINE DUST The HOARDS SHALL BE LIKE BLOWN CHAFF" n I don't think anyone wants to mess with The Tribe of Benjamin or the Daughter Of Zion. You Will Know
Know matter who or what tries to hinder God's plans
No man, woman or devil can stop God's marvelous Hands

When they touched they healed supernaturally

Because love heals everything and heals each other too
For this kind of love some have waited a lifetime through
And when it is not there you know that it is empty space
A time spent for nothing and it will all go to waste
So search your heart before you decide to share who you are
For everyone is meant for someone who will be their shootn' star

Joshua Journey
There is an ancient path or the old ways in Isaiah 35:8 where even a fool who goes there on shall not go astray. I searched out the scriptures and found the fastest way to that ancient path in Isaiah is in Joshua and in Exodus. Joshua 1:7&8 and Exodus 20. The Old ways, the ancient path, the highway of holiness comes only from having Jesus Christ as your One and only Lord and by obeying His word beginning with the statutes of Moses found in Exodus 20 specifically the ten commandments. I started on this path about seven years ago in 2000. Never before has anything so profoundly changed my life as this has other than becoming born again by the Holy Spirit after I was saved. I have never been a fighter even when my mother told me to fight back and defend myself from my baby sister who was attacking me. I couldn't do it, I couldn't bare the thought of hurting another. Maybe that is a fault or inner weakness to love all fellowman kind. I pray that it is not because I have sowed the seeds of a "big heart" into all four of my children. However, in my adult life, I was attacked and learned that sometimes it is neccesary to fight back if you want to survive. I was attacked with relentless blows from an advisary who didn't care how many laws they broke or how foul they fought against me. Now know this, the new testament teaches that we war or wrestle not with flesh and blood but with powers and principalities, rulers of darkness in high places. That may be something you have never heard before, but in the church community where I have congregated the body of members for the most part are very familiar with that scripture. It is talking about demons and devils, spirits and emps. Hallelujah! Just as angels and God are real, so is demons and satan. Just as Christ Jesus came to give us life and blessing, the devil has come to kill, steal and destroy. And unless you know how to do spiritual warfare he can have a hayday with you. Thank God ignorance is bliss for the most part because he doesn't mess with those who don't know what he is doing the way that he fights the ones who knows how to stop him. God help us all! Even when you do know how to do spiritual warfare he is still an enemy who can't be taken lightly. Satan tends to really fight the ones who are a threat to his plans or his power. With his main desire being the same as it is today with the Nation of Israel, and that is "to cut them off from being a nation" as the book of Psalms tells us. Even in the natural there are others who are helping evil doers and they are flesh and blood being used by satan just as once even the Lord Jesus had to rebuke Peter one of his great disciples and tell him "Get thee behind me satan." There are people who have no desire or knowledge to please or fear the Lord. And they are being used to do the work of the devil. But they are not more powerful than God and every knee must bow down to Jesus and the one who is doing His work on the earth can implement His authority in prayer. Sometimes we can be so battle weary that if the spirit of the Lord doesn't intervein we will not make it. And I have found myself there more than I would have ever chose to be. When I am weak, He is strong. And I can do nothing without Him. He also has His mighty warring angels that do His work and perform His word when the hear a Christian speak it forth. Sometimes we aren't even able to do that. There are times in the life of God's prophets or intercessors that they have no strength or might left to fight, and I beleive that is when God fights the greatest. That is when you will see the works of His hands. Unless the Lord had of been my help I would have as soon perished. He is continually helping me. But the battle has not ended. The only difference is that I was attacked and didn't have any real amunition for the first five years of the fight for my life until I got on the Joshua Journey. Now, rarely do I see any defeats if at all. But, my goal is not just my own victory, rather to see everyone get saved no matter who is involved either by looking on or by being an actual evil doer who is attacking me or my children in any way shape or form. Another great piece of artilary that I use is prayer, and most of the time accompanied by some type of fasting. Speaking the word specifically one that GOD has given me especially for a certain situation. He is faithful like that, He has a word for every single situation we will ever face in this life. His gifts are mighty and His power is awesome. Hallelujah!

It has now been over six years since the above poem was dedicated to Brother Dillion. I had moved away and lived in Florida and in Texas from 1998 through 2006. I came back to Mississippi in Aug. 2006 and needed help myself. This time Brother Dillion and the church family aided me when my car broke down and wouldn't go another inch. It wouldn't even stay cranked and I had just came back to the Jackson Mississippi area. It was a bit intimidating to a single disabled women. However, the Dillions payed for my car to get back up and running again. Then they went out of the ordinary as they always have in the past and they allowed me to sleep in the church because I had absolutely no where else to stay. It worked out very good for all of us as I was accustomed to cleaning the church from when I congregated there twelve years ago. And I was able to help around the church and get reconnected with my church family there. One of the sisters from the church gave me several outfits of clothing. Some of which were brand new name brand tops and jackets. The church is growing and in transition to the new building. I think that all churchs should operated in like manner that when they see anyone in need that we should go out of the way to aid them as this church did. THank You! Kim

This poem was written for my four darling children. But, after I read it I was reminded of the Songs of Solomon where Jesus is looking for His beloved. That makes this poem that much more special to me. And He is still searching for His Beloved, He longs to be near you.

Tell me Lord is it not true
that we have alot of work to do?
Are we not supposed to give to the poor
give to the needy when you have blessed us with more?
why then do church goers lock their arms tight
to keep what they have hidden from the light?
They don't care who has a need
as long as it doesn't touch their greed?
yet, they say they are saved and believe
but they think it is more blessed to recieve
Why then does this not make since to me
they shut their eyes to the poor so they won't see?
If I am wrong Lord please let me know
But you said in our hearts let Jesus show
Jesus you said to help and to give
pray for the sick this is how to live
To love and forgive everyone
then your work is seen and done
How could they get off the beaten path
of the mercy and compassion the Lord Jesus hath
not stingy and greedy like the scribes and pharisee
a religous hypocrit to enter heaven he has no key
like the rich man who let the leppar at his gate lay and beg
when he saw he was wrong he was in hell he was already dead
or the camel in the needles eye that will never fit
nor will the rich and greedy soul in heaven ever sit
Humble and lowly my Jesus does walk
not prideful or with arrogant talk
One day, maybe soon, we will all like Jesus live
with a heart of compassion to the poor we will give.
"If you love me you will keep my commandments" "Love your neighbor as your self" If you give God your best then He can give you His best; If you take care of Gods concerns, He will take care of your concerns. If you get the best for your self, How much more should you give your best to God?

I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO PERSONALLY THANK ALL OF THE MINISTERS THAT I HAVE NEVER MET. THROUGH THIS TRIAL I HAVE FACED ALOT OF REJECTION. BUT NOT ONCE HAS ANY TELEVISION PREACHER REJECTED ME. RATHER, THEY HAVE ENCOURAGED ME. SCRIPTURE SAYS THE TOUNGE OF THE LEARNED KNOWS HOW TO SPEAK A WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT IN DUE SEASON TO THOSE WHO ARE WEARY. IF IT HADN'T BEEN FOR THESE MINISTERS OBEYING THE HOLY SPIRIT BY EDIFYING THE BODY OF CHRIST (ME) I WOULD NOT HAVE MADE IT AT ALL. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR CARING AND FOR SEEKING THE LORD BECAUSE HE LEAD YOU TO SPEAK A WORD THAT IN DEED SAVED ME. THE EDIFICATION OF THE BODY OF CHRIST IS A VERY IMPORTANT PART OF THE CHURCH. THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED IS BY 1st. SEEKING THE LORD BEING FILLED WITH HIS SPIRIT, 2nd. HAVING LOVE THAT 3rd. ACTIVATES FAITH WHICH IS THE OTHER IMPORTANT INGREDIENT, 4th. OBEYING THE HOLY SPIRT. WE ARE SUPPOSED TO REJOICE WHEN OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS REJOICE AND WEEP WHEN THEY WEEP. IF ONE PART OF THE BODY IS HURTING IT WILL EFFECT THE ENTIRE BODY MAKING IT LESS ABLE TO DO GODS WORK. THE POEM FRIEND FOR LIFE WAS DESIGNED TO BE A TOOL FOR SUNDAY SCHOOL CHILDREN TO USE. THEY COULD PRINT THE POEM IN CRAYON ON LUNCH SIZE PAPER BAGS. LATER, THEY COULD MAKE PEANUT BUTTER SANDWICHS TO BE PUT IN THE BAGS TO HELP FEED THE HOMELESS. PEANUT BUTTER IS FAIRLY INEXPENSIVE AND EASY FOR THE CHILDREN TO USE. SINCE IT DOES NOT REQUIRE REFRIDGERATION AND PROVIDES ALOT OF PROTEIN, IT IS A CONVENIANT MEAL FOR THE HOMELESS. THEN, THE OUT REACH TEAMS COULD DISTRIBUTE THEM TO THE HOMELESS PEOPLE OF OUR CITIES ALL ACROSS AMERICA. FEEL FREE TO JOIN US AS WE INVOLVE THE WHOLE CHURCH IN BEING DOERS OF THE WORD. Post script to "Don't Judge a Book By It's Cover"
The doctor said it's a miracle that I am alive He said it was because I held my breath as deep and hard as I could when the car trapped my knee between the door and ground with the rest of my body outside the car pinned on the ground. And I knew it was going to roll over my head. He said that was why my lungs didn't collapse and my ribs didn't puncture through my heart or lungs.
You can't tell by looking at me that I have been run over by a four door completely steel car from my knee over my entire trunk, neck and head. (Rankin General Hospital Aug. 1979 Brandon, Ms.) You can't tell by looking that I was almost killed on a motorcycle, Me on my neighbors motorcycle 1987 University Hospital Jackson, Ms.) You can't tell by looking that I gave birth to four children, raised them all by my self for twelve years and even cut my own firewood. You can't tell by looking that I have been in so many automobile accidents that I can't even count. (I totalled my '67 Barracuda after two guys ran a red light in Summer of 1995 Jackson, Ms.) You can't tell by looking that I was hit on my ten speed by a drunk driver while he turned the corner because the street light was out he didn't see me. (1997 Jackson, Ms. State street) You can't tell by looking that I was electrocuted almost to death at age five while standing barefoot on top of an ole freezer in the basement while clinging on to the water pipes that hung from the ceiling in the basement and my mom had to knock me off the freezer with the broom to save my life. Or that I broke the main bone in my left leg in the summer before my first year in Junior high school. Dr. Raynor from Marshall Mo. is the one who put the cast on me and I spoke to him just five years ago at my Christmas vacation. And my sister Karen in Pearl Mississippi can tell you how her and my mom had to almost carry me down the hall to the restroom in the middle of the night before I saw the doctor. She can also tell you how my family termed me as retarded most of my life after I was electrocuted at age five. I am the only one in the family who has been lic. in Life and Annuity insurance, and I am the only one with a web page of two books so I don't think they can say I am mentally or scholastically limited anymore. And the medical records at the Rankin County Medical Center in Brandon, Ms. Aug. 1979 (Kimi Gentry at that time) can verify the tire track bruise over my trunk and leg, the rock removed from my head, the stitches they put in and the ex-rays that revealed my broken ribs after I was run over by the car. I also fell down four iced over concrete stairs in 1984 that caused my tail bone to change it's natural shape. The University Hospital in Jackson Ms. 1984 also treated me for that by giving me ex-rays and a soft seat pillow that looked like a life preserver float. And that is just some of the trauma that this body has endured. It was the University of Ms. that treated me after I was almost killed on the motorcycle wreck. I almost lost my eye due to that wreck. I also had the shingles at age 13. And in 2000 I was hospitalized for five days Country Side Hospital Clearwater, Florida when they couldn't find anything wrong with me but I went totally blind. Till finally a spinal tap revealed cat scratch fever where Dr. Minosky of Clearwater, Fl. treated me for my blindness. I recall his words to me that with nerve damage to the eye it is unlikely to recover sight since nerves normally do not heal. I was totally blind in one eye and could see nothing but black. Today, my eyes are better than they were before it happened. My sight came back to normal and then after some good nutritional supplements I didn't even need my glasses anymore to read the number on my insurance card. But I can remember a year prior that I could barely see the numbers on the same card with my doctor prescribed bi-focals on. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. God is healing me and restoring me and one day I will be as if none of that ever happened to me.
