Valentino here....I'd like to thank you for stopping by my site. This page will tell you a bit about myself and how I became a drag king...

When I was five years old, I would play Barry Manilow records and sing to a non-existent audience. I would listen to a live recording of "Daybreak", where there were hundreds of screaming girls in the background. I would stand on the couch and sing, and at the end of the song, I would pretend that the girls were ripping my clothes off. This was only the beginning.

My hero at that time was Aurthur Fonzarelli. In Kindergarten, I used to play a game which I called, "Fonzie". At naptime I would tell the girls that when I snapped my fingers they were to roll off their mats and kiss me, and to my surprise, they actually did it! I loved that game!!! However, my teacher no longer allowed me to sleep next to any girls during naptime (man, I miss that game).

I think I've always been a "showman" of sorts. There wasn't a blonde that I couldn't get to kiss me, or a brunette that I couldn't make smile. Although I didn't have words for it back then, I knew that I liked girls, a lot!

When I moved to Denver two years ago, I met a friend who invited me to watch her perform at the ZU one evening, and it was then that I knew that that would be the closest I would come to "singing" for an audience. She encourage me to audition for the Wednesday night drag shows held at the ZU. I was hesitant at first, but it's amazing what one will do after a breakup hahaha! I then tried out for the Duke of Denver, and to my surprise, I actually won. It was one of the coolest nights ever! Everyone who participated did an awesome job, and I know I couldn't have done it without my "boys" (you know who you are)!

Here are some common questions that fans have asked me...

1. Do you use real facial hair? = Well, I use synthetic hair, but I also use my own hair. It's itchy as hell, but it's definitely a plus!!

2. Why do you do drag? = The rush before a performance is unbelievable! I think it allows me to be "someone else" for a night. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. In the words of Adam Duritz...We all wanna be big stars, but we don't know why and we don't know how...when everybody loves you, you can never be lonely..."

3. What are your dreams as a drag performer? = Part of the benefits of being Duke of Denver 2000-20001 is being able to choose your own benefit shows. I've been thinking about where funding is needed in the gay community. I plan on doing benefit shows which will assist in providing aid to at-risk gay and lesbian youth. I also plan to do a benefit show which will provide funding for counselors which work with Same Sex Domestic Violence issues.

4. What type of girls are you attracted to? = Well, that's a tough one. I don't really have a "type". I've always been attracted to girls who smile with their eyes. I look for a girl who shows her phenomenal personality as well as her "shy" side. Most importantly, I look for someone with an education. I'm drawn to a woman who takes her education and her career seriously. There's just something about making a smart woman's heart smile.

5. Do you embarrass easily? = Not really; however, chicks dig my shy smile.

There are many more questions, but I won't bore you with all of them. Again, I would like to thank you for stopping by. I'd like to encourage all other inquiring drag performers to call Tina at the ZU (303)777-0193 for information on how you too can perform.
