Welcome to my genealogy page.  I have been researching my family
history for about 5 years.  I have had lots of fun with it even
though it can be frustrating at times.  Most of my research is in
the counties of Clinton and Franklin in northern New York state and
in Westchester and Rockland counties in the southeastern part of
New York state.  Alot of my ancestors immigrated from Canada but
I haven't even begun to search the records there.  Here are some
of the names and families I'm researching at this time:

Griffin DICKERMAN, 10 March 1837 at Yorktown, Westchester Co., NY; 
died 22 February 1909 at Nanuet, Rockland Co., NY; son of Gilbert DICKERMAN
& Elizabeth BROWN. Married to Hester J. NEWMAN, born 1 September 1841
at Yorktown, Westchester Co., NY; died 9 December 1926 at Syracuse, Onondaga Co., NY;
daughter of Dennis NEWMAN & Sarah Ann CUATT.  Their children are: 
Theodore, Afes, Eugene, Hubert, Elizabeth & Benjamin. They resided in Rockland County 
and are buried in Nanuet Cemetery, Nanuet, NY.

James HODGES, born March 1850 at Westport, Essex Co., NY; died
after 9 June 1900 at Malone, Franklin Co., NY; son of Nathan & Laura 
HODGES. He married, ca. 1871, to Elizabeth McDONALD, born January 
1855 at Canada; died after 1925 at Malone, Franklin Co., NY.  
Their children are: Laura Maria, Zimri, William, Henry, Katherine,
James Jr., Joseph, Ellen, Gertrude, Bessie M..

Katherine HODGES, born March 1883 at Malone, Franklin Co., NY;
died ca. 1940 or 1941 at Malone, Franklin Co., NY; daughter of James
HODGES and Elizabeth McDONALD.  She married, first, to
? Prue.  She married, second, 6 July 1914 at Malone, Franklin Co., NY,
to Eugene DICKERMAN, born 9 April 1862 at Tarrytown, Westchester
Co., NY; died 10 June 1933 at Malone, Franklin Co., NY; son of Griffin
DICKERMAN and Hester J. NEWMAN.  Their son is: Eugene Francis.

John GADWAY, born 6 February 1816 (1806?) at Dundee?, QC, Canada;
died after 1892 at Merrill, Clinton Co., NY.  He married Adelaide
FORGIES, born ca. 1823 (1810?) at Canada; died after 1892 at
Merrill, Clinton Co., NY.  Their children are:  Adelaide (Adelia),
Matilda Addie, John II, Mary, Sophia, Fannie, Dennis, Cidani (Denny),
Joseph J. (Jerry), Zarinni, Eva, Edward B..

Francis LaMOUNTAIN (also used step-father's surname, BAXTER),
born June 1874 at NY; death date unknown.  He married Elizabeth
GARCEAU, born 1872 at NY; death date unknown.  Their children
are:  William Henry, Alfred and Florence (Flossie). They resided in
Lyon Mountain (Town of Dannemora), Clinton Co., NY.

Joseph BRUSO, born March 1832 in Canada?/France?; died after
1905 at Merrill, Clinton Co., NY.  His second wife was Matilda
Addie GADWAY, born July 1839 at Canada; died after 1905 at Merrill,
Clinton Co., NY; dau. of John GADWAY & Adelaide FORGIES.  Joseph's 
two sons from first marriage were: Joseph Jr. & Louis.  Children of 
Joseph & Matilda Addie are: Matilda Addie, Mary, Marceline, Sophie, 
John, Frederick, Clara.

Alexander TATRO, born ca. 1837 at New York; death date unknown.
He married Lula PALMER, birth date unknown; death date unknown.
Known children are:  Frederick, Merton, James, Emile & ? (daughter).
Possibly resided in Belmont, Franklin Co., NY.
