The Altair Planetary System Is a chartered chapter of the UNITED FEDERATED PLANETS (UFP).
The UFP is an international Star Trek Club, based in Oklahoma City, USA
The UFP is primarily a Star Trek driven club, but all types of science fiction are included.

Command Duties

Oversees all groups "attached" to the Planetary System Military Forces. Assists crew members in starting their own chapter.. These include but are not limited to: Creation of Ships, Colonizing a planet within the Altair System, and starting your own world, This would include creation of your own Planetary Government, and Military Forces. The only requirement is that your club be a member planet of the Altair Planetary System, and a member of the Delta Quadrant Military Alliance. In other words we're looking for colonists to inhabit a world within our Planetary System, and become our allies in the delta quadrant.

• Fleet Operations and Plans
  This Command oversees the Military operations of all ships with the capability to carry fighter craft, auxillary craft,
  and troops.
• .Planetary Assault Forces
• Altair Marines
  Each Ship of the line carries a compliment of Marines for on planet (ground) operations, and for boarding party operations. Depending upon the size of the ship, the compliment of troops range from platoon size to a complete division. The Marines also provide the fighter air wings which are carried on board ships of the line
  (Generally Carriers, but smaller units such as squadron sized units are assigned to smaller vessels).

• Altair Army Mobile Infantry
  Army Mobile Infantry troops are carried on ships as a compliment to the Marine troops. The units range from Regimental combat team, Rangers, and Special Forces.
  
• Altair Fleet SEALS
  SEALS are carried aboard ships to be used as the Fleets eyes, and ears on hostile planets.
  
  
• Altair Fleet SeaBees
• Fleet SEABEES are carried on board ships of the line as a matter of course. They build the facilities used by the Altair Fleet, and are used as backup Infantry troops if needed. They comprise a reserve infantry unit.
  
• Altair Strike Force Tactical Ops
• Tactical Ops maps out strategies for Special Ops Missions. The Use of Multi - Level integration of intel gathering, and the use of this intel has made Tactical Ops an indespensible part of all Special Ops missions.
  
• Altair Orbital Guard
• The Orbital Guard functions in the same manner as 20th century earths (United States) National Guard.
• They are called up in time of crisis or inpending military action, and charged with the duty of defending
• the Altair Homeworld from hostile enemy action. They are also sometimes used as escorts for various
• exploration vessels. The Orbital Guard has Ground Troops, and Various older types of Capitol Vessels
• with which to fullfill their assignments. They are equipped with the latest Fighter craft with which to engage
  the enemy anywhere from sub-orbital to orbital altitudes.
• Orbital Guard Units are stationed on all of the Altair System Planets.
