Super Nova Class Assault/Transport Carrier

The Super Nova Class Has a dual role in the Altair Planetary System. In the Military
role, it is an assault/transport carrier. It has the capacity to carry 3 full divisions of
troops with supporting equipment. It also carries 2 complete air wings. The air wings
are comprised of 250 fighter craft, and assorted support craft.

In the Research role, the Super Nova Class is equipped for interstellar travel lasting
up to 5 years. It has complete on board research laboratories covering all the scientific
disciplines. The Super Nova Class is one of the newest Starships in the Altair Fleet.
It is 4 kilometers long, and has a beam of 1/2 kilometer.
Crew compliment - 2550 Officers and Men (Military)
1990 Merchant Marine Officers and Crew (Research)
The expense of this ship is such that only a few can be constructed a year.
At this time 1 Super Nova Class is being constructed in the shipyards.

AFB AMF Indianapolis Apollo Class Battleship (Dreadnaught)

The Apollo Class Battleship is the fastest of all the Altair Capitol
ships. It carries a weapons array of fore, and aft phaser banks, fore, and
aft photon torpedoe tubes. This class carries some original earth armament.
This includes 24 pulse laser cannons, 24 phalanx missile batteries.
All Jupiter class Battleships are currently being upgraded, and retrofitted
with phased array missile batteries, and quantum missile batteries.
Air group includes, 36 Hammerhead fighters, 4 barracuda fighter/bombers
4 stingray recon craft, 10 sub orbital shortrange transport craft, 12 LC19
Landing Craft. Ground forces - 2 battalion landing teams (Marines),
2 regimental combat teams (Army) 1 battalion of Navy SeaBees.
The length of the Apollo Class Battleship is 3175 Ft.

AFS AMF OUTER LIMITS HERCULES CLASS MILITARY STATION

Hercules Class Military Space Stations are currently undergoing space trials. If successfull, they will
be stationed at points around the Altair Systems soverieign space, and at points on the outer rim
of known space. They will act as command posts (when occupied by flag officer), listening posts
(for intel gathering), Gathering points for any military action taking place in their vacinity etc..
